What happened to the semi auto carbines?
ruger used to make em. But all you can get now are these fucking leverguns?
I think theres a good market for them, hunting deer, hogs. and possibly bear defence.
44 mag is like the perfect calibre for hunting deer short range
Because ARs exist in every caliber
There is no real benefit for a 16 inch 44 mag over a ten inch and the NFA is a bitch
7.26x39 costs 20 cents a round and can take a durr just fine.
Also for hunting, in my state depending on game, I'm limited to 3 rounds and wish someone made a 3 round mag for the k31.
>>34395111
Fucking hunting mag limits. There is not a stupider thing in all firearms law, and that's saying something.
>>34395111
Can't you have a gunsmith 'manufacture' one by pinning and welding an existing mag?

Does this use many Phalanx parts, or just looks similar?
>be broke kid from a broke family
>always wanted to own guns
>talk about guns excessively over dinner
>gets told to shut up by mom and dad
>grandpa is a vietnam vet
>he takes me shooting in the woods semi regularly
>years later
>he's older now
>hairs gone
>thinner and weaker
>takes me to the basement
>opens a wooden drawer
>'its yours now kid. Its my father's'
>its an m1911 well maintained
>he tells me how it saved his fathers life in sicily
>months later
>grandpa is dead
>still a broke out of highschool kid
>job in gas station barely putting food on the table
>tfw feel completely inadequate to even hold the gun
>tfw previous generations were into some heroic shit, even my dad was a fireman
>tfw just a geeky broke kid that works in a gas station
How do i get out of this hole? Money is probably the biggest issue. If i had enough i could probably pay for university to get a better job. Is cryptocurrencies a good way of making money? I spent 200 bucks on ethereum and its grown since i did but i think i need more to actually make money.
I could also sell my grandads other guns but that would be shitty id rather just keep them.
>>34394730
Cryptocurrencies are basically playing the stock market, which is basically gambling. Work hard, and spend as little as possible. Eat beans and rice. In your spare time, learn a trade. Plumbers make bank, so do HVAC techs. Make it your goal to pass that gun on to someone important one day.
>>34394730
ditch all your ethereum before it crashes, shit is a rich man's game. consider joining the military, it makes college a lot more attainable.
>>34394730
Get into a trade school. If you can't afford a college, the student debt isn't worth it, go be a welder- I hear it pays VERY well with little training.
Whatever you do, don't study a useless subject like linguistics.
Theoretically speaking, if my grandpa left behind pre 1918 nagant M1895 and Colt 1900 or 1903 how much would they go for? I dont expect a excact price but a ballpark of sorts
No pics to post as Im going from memory and theyre stashed in a cottage 500 miles away. All I know they were used to kill reds
Don't sell them, buddy.
You're only going to regret it.
>>34394640
this
>>34394640
seriously. selling is a bad idea all around
I'm in the market for a shotgun. Can't choose between these two. Which gun and which sku is best? Is Wingmaster worth it over Express same with 590A1 over 500.
Budget: $600
Purpose: Home defense and shooting range
>>34394371
If you've got money for the 590A1, you might as well buy one.
It's pretty neat.
>>34394371
The Mossberg is a better design and is better made at the low end of the price range.
The 590 is more robust than any Remington, if you can afford one, buy one.
>>34394371
The general consensus is to go with the mossberg, but its more about personal preferance. The main differences are the location of the safety and the slide release, most would agree that the mossberg has both in a better position, the mossberg also has an aluminium receiver, remington has a steel receiver. Mossberg has a loose action purposely to help with reliability, remington has a tighter, more solid feeling action. Another thing to note is that the extractor cannot be replaced on the remington if it fails
Camping out doing the stalker challenge tomorrow wearing pic related. Any tips?

With the bullshit going on right now in Marawi, Philippines and me being in the US Military. I had a pleasure of meeting a Filipino Army person when I was eating at the food court, he was undergoing Counter Terrorism training in the US. It sucked because he only had a few days left but we talked and it just so happen to be the eve of when the ISIS wanna-bes were fucking over a town in Souther Mindanao, which is in the lowest part of the Philippines.
It sucked because he was only here for a few days but I ensured that he comes home not just getting new tactics and info from his US counterparts but by also having fun.
So I asked him who he was and all that stuff, of course I wasn't being intrusive but I was talking to him in our native tongue, Tagalog.
I told him that it is finally nice to find someone from where I was from, I was born in the Philippines and moved here in the United States back in 2003 and joined the Navy back in early 2010s. I told him what I do and sadly but also fortunately, it is not combat related.
I invited him for dinner that night and discuss what we can do before he flies out of the country. I gave him a challenge coin, some other /k/ related stuff that I cannot disclose, but let's just say it is hard to buy them from the Philippines and if not, that they are expensive.

Very nice of you OP. Got anything else?
>>34394127
what'd you gave him?
That was pretty bakla, did you suck is ti te too?
Could cheap, shitty lasers be used to help deny air superiority?
I read an article years ago about people using cheap lasers and damaging the eyes of pilots.
Could cheap lasers be used en masse by a force to fuck with the vision of pilots?
Think of a laser spam essentially.
not anymore. They are training pilots to fly with their eyes close now....
Lasers like the one pictured are < 5 mW. At that power, a person's blink reflex is sufficient to protect them from eye damage.
Also, military pilots and/or aircraft may be fitted with laser safety glass.
Also, have you ever tried to hold a laser pointer steady on something just a few meters away? Good luck hitting an aircraft, let alone the cockpit.
Yes, lasers have been applied like this for a while. Wicked Lasers used to make a 100mW laser with a focusing lens, called the Photonic Disruptor. Here's a video from their channel, which shows a clip from Futureweapons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn_hMCTS2Eg
Good luck aiming it at a plane's cockpit and blinding the pilot successfully.
Hey /k/
I havent been to this gun show and I'm planning on going to this to purchase a gun or two. Has anyone else been to the one here in Phoenix, Az? Is it an actually decent gun show or is it full of fudds asking for too much for relatively shit guns?
>inb4 spoonfeeding
fuck off I just want to know if it's going to be a waste of time and money
I never bothered going. All the yelp reviews I've read really turned me off. But I'll be monitoring this thread out of interest. I too would like to know if any other Phoenix faggios have gone and what their experience was.

Always see the adverts at bus stops - always intend to go - always forget until the following Monday
>>34393750
it sucks, overpriced parking and entrance fee, overpriced guns, overpriced ammo, gimmicky zombie killer and tacticool shit. only good for finger fucking guns that you can later buy online for much cheaper.
A barrel profile so retarded, only the government could have designed it.
That said, what is the best barrel profile?
>not understanding the amount of work that goes into designing a barrel profile.

Just shows us whatever it is.
Shit OP and OP is a fag.
>>34393375
I saw online the different kinds of casing for ammunition you can buy. Steel casing is cheap, but dosent expand as good as brass.
brass expands good and is reasonably priced.
aluminum im not sure, I heard it is lighter which does add up if your storing in ammo cans, and it is anti corrosive like brass, it also expands the same, if not better than brass so your chamber is properly sealed.
I also saw plastic casing but it sounds kinda retarded.
your thoughts /k/?
Aluminum is fine like brass
I exclusively use brass since that's what most guns are designed for.
Aluminum is typically trash ammo, OP. Brass is best because it expands the best, and it's gentle on the extractors compared to steel.
