Hey /k/, idiot here.
I'm looking to buy my first gun, and from my range visits, I love the CZ 75. I'm also a college student paying my own way through, so I'm on a super tight budget. The thing is, to me, cz's are getting a little harder to find for a decent price. When I first started looking, I had no money, and they were ~$500. Now a lot of them are $600+, from what I've seen. Last I checked, my LGS had one for $520 in December.
I've managed to save up $560 since then, and have just this week to jump on it (provided the LGS has it, and there's a 3-day wait, yay IL) before I go back to college. However, $560 can be used for a lot of other things, and I don't "need" a gun at the moment.
>need
Anyway, should I just run forward and get the CZ as an impulse buy? Or should I be less cavalier with my finances and just wait til later after I get a job, possibly shelling out $100 extra? It just seems like CZs are getting scarce.
I'm pretty dead set on a CZ75, might consider a P01/SP01 variant, but I'm not considering clones (Canik?). And I'm definitely going to own one later, it's just a matter of how soon.
Pic semi-related
If you dont have a job I would wait or get something cheaper cause youre gonna need to feed this thing and buy it nice pachmayer grips and a case and a lock etc
>>33354140
why not consider a Tanfoglio?
on the competition scene they're as popular as CZs.
>>33354147
I have a job at a machining lab, but after rent and food and loan stuff, I've got $40 leftover at the end of the month for savings/fun. It's a small amount for sure, and I'm also trying to save up for a new computer, so getting the cz now would delay that.
>>33354157
I dunno, brand rep and snobbery maybe? I might consider them
Hey, /k/ I picked up a few military patches from a local military shop and I'm not really sure what any of them symbolize. Can any of you help?
Top left is an Air Force Staff Sergeant (E5) rank.
Top right is I believe Years of Service stripes for the Marines
Don't know what the left and right bottom row are but the bottom middle is an enlisted Navy rank. Probably E1 or E2.
bottom middle is a Petty Officer First Class (E4), not sure of the other two that havent been named yet... hope this helps
>>33354177
Oh, would definitely make sense. Thanks much. Also did some research on the bottom left and it's apparently some Chilean Air Force patch.
Is there anywhere that you can get a cheap, yet reliable ACOG? Or any other nice sights that aren't super expensive.
>>33354069
No.
If you're a poorfag use iron sights
Primary arms are all good for their price. I've got some >$2k optics but still have found the PA optics very useable.
>>33354069
No.
Primary Arms is your friend though.
By cheap we mean $160-350 bucks
Really anything less isn't worth buying.
Discuss
>>33353890
That looks like shit. What is there to discuss?
Well I'm going to shoot them.
>>33353890
Sweet Christ what happened to the bullet on the top.

Straight up Or/k/.
B-But gun control!!
That's the orkiest shit I've seen all week
Hey /k/, recently got a psa ar and its not cycling ammo. The first time it ran fine for the first mag, then would frequently not pick up rounds for the rest of the day. Assuming it was a mag issue I took a Pmag i know works the next time, same issue. I used winchester white box so im assuming its a problem with the rifle, help?
I just noticed the gas tube is slightly off center, a bit to the left. But I wouldn't think this would be the issue because i can pull the trigger when it fails, maybe its reseting the hammer but not traveling far enough to grab a round?
Op 99% of /k/tards dont actually know anything about guns other than which ones have which athstetics.
Do a functions check. What happens? If functions check goes well it sounds like sumn uncommon
Pull off the hand guard and check the gas block and tube to make sure they're properly aligned with the gas port on the barrel and assembled correctly.
Is this real life?
>>33353684
I can't tell memes from real life anymore.
Wow only 300$ for a glock, good find op. You are going to take up the offer, right?
>>33353755
... are you real?
So i was offered the chance to buy a s&w 19-3 for 150.00 from a coworker of mine. Bluing is worn and theres some rust. Guess it was his dads duty weapon years ago. Still bought it, no regrets there. Should i have it polished and reblued or leave it rusty and worn? Pic related. Any idea on actual value? I kinda feel bad paying so little but it is rusty...
>>33353525
They go from about 800-900 in great condition and anywhere from 250-400 in poor finish condition.
>>33353560
About seven years ago I bought a like new 19-4 with 6 rounds through it for $250 or $350 from a family friend. I really need to see what 19-4 revolvers are selling for now.
>>33353560
He told me hed sell it to me for half of what i thought it was worth. I did some quick googling and told him around 300, so it seems i wasnt too far off.
>want to get into bayonet fencing
>Literally no one to practice with
>too autistic to find people
>the local HEMA group said they don't do pole arms
>completely impractical
>time would be better spent with an air rifle indoors
>or practicing drawing my CC
At least I can shitpost here about them
>>33353365
Probably because bayonet fencing doesn't exist you moron.
>>33353467
Wrong again
>>33353365
where do you lift? if you are europoor, maybe I can help.
Mexican la Raza mestizo nationalists have take over the galleria in Houston Texas and have taken ~50 people hostage.
There are about 15 gunmen, loaded with ar15s and glocks.
But the most dangerous weapon they have with them is a 900 lb 1000 kiloton yield nuke which they have in the parking garage (brought in by truck, being guarded by one of the gunmen). The truck is armored to protect against swat snipers. In addition, there are psi guage on the bomb and if the truck is blown up (a la the dindu in dallas) it would explode.
The mexicans demands are to allow mexico to annex artizona, socal, newmexico, and southwest texas.
How does the us goverment react in this scenario?
>>33353286
>allow mexico to annex artizona, socal, newmexico, and southwest texas
>implying this has not already happened b attrition.

Accept and crush the Democratic Party for good. Then find an excuse to declare war in 10 years and take it all back. Then fortify the border. The End.
evacuate, confine, and HRT
Realistically speaking, what would be a practical application for a metal gear?
What does it do that an icbm can't?
For what purpose?
Absolutely nothing, but fighting a stationary Scud launcher wouldn't have made for a particularly compelling final boss.
The ingame justification is that railguns are stealthier than missiles, but this is kind of bullshit considering the amount of heat and noise railguns produce.
Literally Peace Walker.
An AI that launches a nuke when it detects a nuke has been launched without human interference.
The thing can also cross borders and detonate the webcam-head which is actually a hydrogen bomb.
Apaert from the autistic screeching, that is
Quick /k/ show me your single shots.

This time on Nutnfancy Abridged, I take a 38 minute long review of the Ruger SP-101 and shrink it down to just over a minute.

>>33352944
If you wanna get a shitton of views, do some abridged versions of the meme guns. Do the scar, the m14, the glock 19, the ksg ect. I think those would be a hit
Do these make good self defense spears?
>self defense spears
Stop
Lol you live in Papau new ginuea?
To answer your question, I have one and it's a pretty good knife for the money.
I'd train a gypsy slave kid to protect me while I shoot, like pikemen protected the arquebusiers and musketeers in the old days.
So we've seen both doctrines develop in both east and west being held steadfastly by each with some exceptions but in the end which one do you think has proven superior? Might be hard as not much WvR has been had in the last 20 ish years but what does red flag and other drills tell us of this
>>33352903
the one that didn't got ass blasted i every conflict ever
>>33352922
Undoubtedly the west has enjoyed superior BvR radar and AWACs technology which makes most times any WvR advantage mute as the defender wont survive to use it, But I want to know purely based on WvR
bump?
