There's worse. Paint can be sanded off. The asshole on here yesterday who was going to hacksaw off the end of his Mosin for S&G was going to do permanent damage, which is objectively worse.
>>33358693
>>33358736
Both were mass produced and to this day there are hundreds of thousands of them, if not more, so I really don't get why /k/ flips over one guy painting his rifle blue or shortening the barrel. Personally I don't care. Especially about Mosin, because it's shit.
I bought this Mauser at a pawnshop when I was 18. I did no research and it was an impulse buy. I spent around $320. It's best to hell, but how did I do?
It came with this bubba's homemade cleaning rod
Alright /k/ommandos, pop quiz: real or prop
>>33358291
Fake as hell.
I think I see a little ratcheting wheel on the bottom of the clipazine so I'm guessing airsoft
>>33358291
fake or shitty shitty shitty felony
my bet fake
but im preeeetty fucked off
Is it time for tilting bolt rifles to make a comeback? They seem simpler and more cost effective than a rotating bolt. Accuracy, weight, and durability are solvable problems with the design, and it's got some other advantages too, like allowing the use of a simple direct impingement gas system.
>>33358126
I could see a place for it in cheap PCCs or rifles maybe. Nothing that needs more than 3-4 MOA could use it.
>>33358126
Can someone explain why tilting bolts are a problem in FALs? I looked into it a bit and it seems like the problem has more to do with lockup, i.e. it's easily fixable.
People go absolutely apes hit if a rifle can't hold 1moa with wolf and you want tilting bolt to come back? You have any idea how spoiled this market is?
So is this entire board only for trashing each other's guns and making fun of everything?
>>33358107
pretty much.
who the fuck shoots an Open gun without a magwell? why don't you pin your grip safety like a non-faggot?
>>33358107
Mostly just projecting insecurities onto other anonymous posters. Shitting on everything nice, as described in the OP, is just a byproduct of aforementioned desparation.

Is this battletoads?
So what happens when North Korea operates a fleet of road-mobile, solid fuel missiles able to throw a nuclear warhead anywhere in the ROK/Japan?
Does their willingness and ability to use their nuclear arsenal at the first sign of an invasion by the US and her allies (such as a decapitation strike on Pyongyang or coordinated air attack on all nuclear assets) basically guarantee their security? Did we miss the boat when the Clinton administration decided not to hit their reactor?
Related, test firing of their new missile;

>So what happens when North Korea operates a fleet of road-mobile, solid fuel missiles able to throw a nuclear warhead anywhere in the ROK/Japan?
America laughs at them from their Mars base
>>33358099
No, ABM nullifies that factor. They're too late to the ballistic missile game to pretend they're relevant.
>>33358099
They would only ever use them if they knew they were going to lose. They are basically bargaining chips that can leave craters.
Redpill me on the Marlin 336 plan on buying one this week and what should I look for when buying one and how much is too much
Buy used Marlin, not new Remlin.
336 is a rifle and an action. There are 336 action guns that aren't model 336. Examples would be 30AW, 30AS. Marlin made guns under other names for retailers. Glenfield is one. I think JC Penny had a brand of Marlin as well.
Some have barrel bands, some have forend caps. Some people feel that the forend cap models have better accuracy potential.
Lots of people look for earlier models that don't have safeties. I don't mind them though. If a safety bothers you, you can remove it and put a plug or saddle ring in the hole.
The sights arent that great, but aftermarket sights are plentiful. If you are set on a particular set of sights, make sure the model gun you get is compatible. For example, my 30AS has a dovetail front sight where as a lot of 336 models have a screwed on front sight ramp.
>>33358093
30-30 is a depreciated meme round
>>33358093
Used in good condition used to be around $200.
Prices for real Marlins has gone up since Remington took a runny dump on the Marlin brand.
I would personally shoot for $375 or less for a used, standard, non-collectible model in good shape.
Is the sig p320 a meme gun?
Its cheaper than most of the other 9mm I've been looking at, and looks pretty fun.
Would I be better off spending more and getting a cz 75 or a p226?
Theres a reason the army adopted them right?
>>33358055
>Is the sig p320 a meme gun?
We will see soon enough, all the LARPers are jumping on it so soon enough there will be some unbiased torture tests and lifespan tests
>>33358055
The Army adopted it because it met certain tests and was more affordable than other competitors. If you look at the tests and think it works with what you think a good gun, then yes. But you might think the tests they did are stupid and not mean anything.
Just about every gun made these days is going to be good. It'll be reliable, last a long time, and be accurate enough for most shooters. Everything else is preference. You're comparing a striker fired gun to metal framed DA/SA guns. If you want a striker, the P320 is a fine choice. But so is the Glock, XDm, FNS, and most other guns from reputable manufacturers.
if you want a DA/SA gun, those choices are fine too. Some guns cost more because they want to be seen as better. In reality you probably couldn't tell the difference between them.
>>33358112
>In reality you probably couldn't tell the difference between them.
Thats what i was kinda figuring, still a hard choice
How would the government respond to a plague or virus outbreak? What type of measures would they take? What would the plan look like?
>pic semi related
>>33358053
Knowing my government they would not have a plan.
Once they realize shit's real they would scramble to evacutate themselves and leave the commoners to die. Same as any other country I'd assume.
>>33358053
Considering how well they have responded to these things when needed, fairly well.
>>33358053
By quarantining faggots like OP and eliminating /K/ommandos so they can't form juntas when the Gov. and the Elite go into hiding
What's the most you've ever spent on a firearm? What's the most you could ever see yourself spending?
>>33357877
thinking about spending 2k€ on a MR73. Absolutely pointless but I must have it.
$0
$0
Inherited my grandfathers M1911
>>33357903
Not at all pointless. I'd kill to be able to buy a new MR73 in the states
>that guy who owns 10+ calibers and less than 100 of ammo for each
if you can't keep a gun fed with at least a 1000rd stockpile for each caliber then you shouldnt own guns
>that dude who starts stupid threads
>>33357793
You should own two calibers max.
>>33357793
>That guy who gets easily triggered like an SJW with what guns People own and how they use them
Will we ever have another nation that will be as well dressed as the Germans?
>>33357758

have you even been in germany ?
and >>>/fa/
fuck off
>>33357774
OP meant military uniforms, not day to day fashion
Also OP is right. They knew they were the bad guys and they weren't fucking around. It kicks ass
>>33357797
k. maybe next time they will be more interested i winning wars than paying dress up game
What's the longest rifle ever actually used by a military?
Not the longest recorded kill, which is all that Google gives me, but the actual longest rifle.
Bonus points if you break it down by overall length with and without bayonet and barrel length.
prolly some arquebus desu
>>33357757
>rifle
>arquebus
Would you enlist if you got spoils of war?
spoils from where? some sand nigger shit hole? its already spoiled
>>33357674
Spoils of war - including bringbacks - were pretty much standard throughout all of history.
Not saying loot and pillage, but if you kill your enemy, you should be entitled to what he has.
Only fairly recently have Moralcunts said "Dat shit too dangerous mang!" and forbidden us from bringing anything home...
That said - would I enlist (again) specifically because of 'spoils of war'? No. But, that's me.
>>33357674
"Spoils?" What do you think you are allowed to bring back from any given war zone and into a civilized country? It's not ww2 any more.
Is this tactical?
>>33357651
Looks like a good way to shoot yourself
Looks about as tactical as it gets.
>>33357651
Are you fucking kidding me? Imagine you were the guy down below. You wpuldnt know what fucking hit you. That fucking guy jumped like 10 vertical feet and just kept firing. This is classic navy SEAL ambush tactics
