Casio watches / mechanical keyboards aren't "/g/ memes"
Tons of enthusiast places online love mechanical keyboards, and cheap casio watches have been hyper popular for decades.

honestly whatever os you use is mostly personal preference outside of most work. apple trackpads/touch controls are the best imo. if my laptop ever bites the dust I might get a 2015 macbook pro and put windows on it. or maybe not windows. but ultrabooks have been pretty aesthetic lately too

Please don't be one of these people.
I find it increasingly difficult to find people who don't do this. I feel like an outcast sometimes.

No. For PGA CPUs you need to use a conductive thermal paste, like Arctic Silver 5, otherwise you won't make a full connection.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

disgusting, and for a moment I thought it had anything on WPF. Microsoft products are the shit. You can sell your software no matter what.
now if you'll excuse me I'll stop being a faggot talking for jewQt and go develop something on WPF that has 0 fees.
>>58769506
Any alternatives that run cross-platform? It seems wpf is windows only, right?
>>58769538
Hope for MS to make WPF crossplatform like .NET's core or maybe a Mono feature for it?
>>58769506
Just license your software under the GPL. You should be doing that anyway.

What do hobbyist normally do to do a graceful shutdown when there's power cuts?
Does a Power Management Unit (PMU) handle this, or is a VDC Uninterruptible Power Supply needed?
With a PMU can you just customize your Linux shutdown, or must you interface with the unit?
>>58769098
Relevant to my interest.
>>58769098
Wuts dat bord?
I have a small UPS that tells my two Rpi 0's to shutdown fully if the power goes out
it gives them both about 10 minutes of power which is plenty to shutdown
All i use them for is a really small home NAS anyway, even if they hard shutdown it would probably be fine
it was like 40$, i originally used it for my comcast cable box because every time the power went out the cable box would die for some reason and comcast is a cunt and charged me for replacements
