I'm trying to help my parents cut the cord by switching them to using Android TVs. I personally have a Nexus TV, but they've stopped manufacturing them and the hardware is a bit outdated.
I've noticed a plethora of chinese made Android TVs on Amazon and am interested in them, but I've noticed a lot of them are the same thing with the seller's brand plastered onto them. I was wondering if anyone here has knowledge about what devices I can trust and which I should avoid at all costs. I'm hoping to spend at max $50 per device as I have to outfit 3 TVs with them. I'd ask /csg/, but they seem more focused on buying stuff directly from manufacturers.
Pic of the shit I wouldn't want.

I rarely find people working in IT company, who is older than 40 years old. How do you secure your future, /g/?
>>58766703
I am working for my governments ministry of finance and with 25 I am one of the youngest guys in the whole house.
They all work on PL/I programms, in 800x600 terminals.
In a few centuries I will probably maintain the current Java applications.
I worked my company's booth at regional IT trade shows.
70% of the guys there look like the man in pic related.
They are just soulless middle aged men who are happy to collect a 75K paycheck and go home and watch Big Bang theory on their 400 channel cable TV plan and maybe take their overweight family out to Starbucks or Outback on weekends.
The attractive people who are actually engaged in living a balanced life usually end up in sales eventually (sometimes management).
i had to recommend my company fire a 60 year old dude who was undergoing QA training. Still feel kinda bad about that, but shit happens
ITT: Horrible jokes that have been going on for way too long
Hello /g/. Where I live we dont have Apple Stores, just authorized resellers and they cost a lot there, almost double of Apple's price. There are street sellers that sell sealed iphones though. How can I know if the iphone has been used beforeand then sealed? Are there any things I should look for like battery cycles? I know that sealing a box is not a hard process...
Please don't tell me I should buy an Android.
Thanks!
>>58764385
that sucks where do you live
>>58764385

Gee idk look it up

DISGUSTING
Trying to decide between a light theme and a dark theme on my OP3T. I don't really like pitch black backgrounds, OP's accent colors look weird in messaging and dialer apps. White theme looks nice and pixel-ish but it drains battery more and burns my eyes at night. Which one, /spg/?
