Sup guys, I recently got a Coolermaster Evo 212. I'm using speedfan but I can't make it spin less than 760~ RPM which is around 35% pwm. Even if I set it to 0% it doesn't go any lower than that.
I was looking for a case with better airflow and case fans to make my pc as quiet as possible, but if I don't have full control of my CPU fan beforehand it'd be useless.
What do? thx
>>58772750
retarded questions go into /sqt/ thread. ow delete this one, since it violates rules, and repost there.
>>58772750
Use zalman fanless heatsink.
If your cpu fan is making noise at 700rpm you have a garbage fan. 212s ship with shitty sleeve bearing fans. Replace it with a noctua or something else with a liquid bearing if you want silence.

>since it violates rules
Your autistic guidelines for general threads are not rules.
Why is the American IT Industry full of Indians? Are Americans too lazy to do the work? Are they all studying Business like the British and nobody respects the IT sciences anymore?
>>58772707
cheap labor and horrible immigration laws.
american companies like nothing more than cheap people. People on H-1B visas are nothing more than indentured slaves who work for a fraction of a pay and they can't even switch companies. So companies hire them and then they either lobby for their green cards or just dispose of them.
That will all end soon.
Apparently they are busy defending temple of holy c from c++ niggers.
Why are there no major indian tech companies
Three dollars and fifty cents.
That's a decent price. You're a good guy, OP.
>that pic
I wonder if her parents ever found out
>>58772357
People would try to sell that for a lot more. Check on local craigslist
>See HD stream of current movie.
>After 20 seconds of watching the stream you get a paywall that stops the video and forces you to pay to watch the rest of the movie.
>I use a firefox extension to simply download the movie bypassing the paywall
What are some little things that make you feel like a big shit /g/?
>>58772249
I do not use proprietary software.
>>58772249
What extension?
I just pirate my movies from a torrent like any sane fucking person, instead of getting them from dodgy ass streaming sites
Hey /g/ my GF gave me her old phone - pic related, nokia 625 (or maybe 635)
What should I do with it?

How hard would be to code an application that takes thousands of anime pictures, train a NN on it and generates a 3D model based on it?
Wow, you visit another internet board? Crazy.
>>58772150
If you have to ask you can't do it.
>generates a 3D model
>from static 2D images
AHAHAHAHAHA good luck with that.
I'm getting a new laptop soon. What programs should I install? How should I set it up? And no, I'm not using Linux.
>>58772034
Instal Debian/kFreeBSD then.
>>58772034
>What programs should I install?
All of em. Then when you need one it's ready for you.
>>58772034
This is the dumbest thread on /g/ right now.
If somebody wanted to upload some videos as anonymously and securely as possible, how should they go about it? Assuming it's not CP or anything else that facial recognition would be a concern with.
>>58771672
https://youtube.com
upload as a series of webms here
>>58771688
Stop shitposting, I'm wondering if there's anything that's not commonly discussed that you should worry about.
>>58771704
I don't actually have anything to upload, I'm just curious. If I did have anything to upload then doing so from my home IP address would be pretty fucking stupid.
How the hell do you organize random cables
>>58771528
Ziplock bag and some zipties
>>58771528
I double the cables over until they get to a length where I can comfortably tie an overhand knot into the cable without putting any unnecessary strain near the connectors.
>pic related
It all depends on how often you plan to use them.
For longer term storage, you could do like the other posters say and use bags or different knots. I recently went through a box of cables and tied them either in a circular loop or a back-and-forth pattern using twist-ties.
If you have cables that you use on a regular basis and want to keep them close by then you could get something like a necktie rack or just put a row of nails into wood and hang the cables from there. Or just mount a coathanger somewhere and hang the cables off that.
So a friend of mine has lined me up with a basic IT job at a hospital but I don't really know a whole lot on the subject of IT related duties. I'm definitely not normie-tier retarded when it comes to computers but I'd feel comfortable saying I'm not an advanced user either.
What sorts of things should I research/freshen up on before my first day so I don't look like a retard?
>>58771465
I would start by analyzing the job description as they will be asking you about items on it.
>>58771465
Hospitals are where people go when they lack any ambition whatsoever, so just coast like everyone else.
You should learn as much as you can by you're first day or innocent people could die as a consequence.
My Cameroonian friend just informed me about the Internet blackout in his home country. I was thinking I would put together a little 'how to use dial-up Internet in a blackout' package like was done Egypt and Syria. Problem is I'm just some normalfag - was hoping someone here with a little more experience could help me out. Cheers g
>>58771437
Yes, tell him to install Gentoo and everything will be solved.
>>58771437
1) buy modem
2) dial 911
3) poof, free 2kbps internet.
>>58771437
I don't know a lot about the subject of internet blackouts, but from my understanding, most major cases were internet censorship rather than a government completely shutting down the internet. Dial up really won't help you either way, you'd want to invest in a VPN or something like that instead.
Uh... wut?
What was the correct answer?
>>58771365
Looks like System BIOS
>>58771346
>Select two answers
Congrats, you are an idiot.
internet speed test thread, also how much you pay for it
$70/month

Poor idea
I forget the name of my local company but it's $75 for 110Mb/s

Is there a safe pirate webiste? torrents always have those suspicious "false virus" with anonymous uploaders.
>>58771011
>safe
>pirate website
Due to the nature of torrenting, no. There is no "safe" when torrenting.
>>58771056
Wrong.
>>58771075
>you can escape the long arm of the law
Wrong
