Why isn't your region using nuclear power as it's main electrical energy source?

The Koreans do it cheap and quick, and so can you.

Why is the latest version so slow and clunky?

I can click on a tab and it will take 3-4 seconds to switch. Scrolling stutters and freezes a lot making you jump pages. Anyone else experiencing this garbage?

Due to Zen's unexpected performance, Intel has been caught with its pants down.

Their answer?
#1 Housefires.

https://www.techpowerup.com/230422/amds-upcoming-ryzen-launch-to-prompt-reshuffle-of-intels-cpu-line-up
>First we find the Core i7 7740K . It has 8 MB of L3, with a base frequency of 4.30 GHz (100 MHz more than the Core i7 7700K) at the price of a significantly higher TDP (> 100W against 91W). The Turbo frequency is not known, but should logically be 4.60 GHz.

>One of the other sample takes the name of Core i5 7640K . At first glance, this is also a speed bump of the Core i5 7600K: Quad Core, 6MB L3, 4.0GHz base frequency for the 7640K against 3.8GHz for the 7600K. On the TDP side, it would also climb above the 100W. But there is much more interesting: the Core i5 7640K would have active SMT (Hyper-threading), a first for a Core i5 Desktop. This modification profoundly upsets the segmentation of the different "Core". Until now, the Core i5 were distinguished from the Core i7 by the absence of Hyper-threading.

Finally, AMD justifies its existance.
>>
>>58834041
AMD hasn't had a profitable quarter in years and Intel is posting record highs, Intel spends over 15 times more on R&D(lets assume at least half on fabs) than AMD does.

It would be an utter and complete embarrassment for Intel to actually lose like this.
But maybe it was inevitable, KabyLake is still a bolted P6 arch core.

is it okay to buy these lower end power supplies or it better to invest a little more for the top tier ones ?

Depends on the setup. 500w is probably enough for most cpu/single gpu combos.

i'm planning on getting an i5 6500(non k) and a rx 480 8gb gpu
>>
Remember that rx480 takes as much as GTX1080 thanks to pajeet technology.

I want a laptop just to have a powerful laptop.

I'm likely gonna buy one on Ebay in the next few hours.

I don't really have any specific reason to get a laptop, outside of the fact that I can get one used on ebay that's fast for a good price.

My main pc is more than powerful enough. I have a 2nd and 3rd pc that are more than powerful enough as well.

Why do I want a laptop anyway???

Looking at a good dual core/HT i5 laptop for like 125 or a good quad core/HT i7 earlier gen for 250.

Why do i want a laptop again?

You can bring it to uni and do presentations or study, without fearing that files are incompatible. You can use Kali Linux in the middle of the city. You can use it on your bed and not have to resort to your slow phone. Obvios stuff. If you can afford it, it's good to have one around

You don't have to sit at your desk or dedicate a large portion of your room to it, unlike a desktop PC. This >>58834039 . It's just convenient.

So explain to me why we can't compress random binary data again?

Couldn't you just make a rainbow table of all possibilities that can be stored in 32 bytes and index those bytes in a database with a RIPEMD160 hash of the data that is 16 bytes long (this is bound to generate collisions.)

chunk_size = 32
possibilities = (chunk_size ** 8)
space_required = (possibilities * chunk_size) / 1024 / 1024 / 1024

Or 32,768 gigabytes. That's not that large. Now to compress the data: hash the original data with SHA256 to get a checksum and convert every 32 byte chunk into a 16 byte RIPEMD160 index into your table. To decompress, try every possibility of collisions for the associated index hashes. If this is infeasible you could always store a small amount of the original data too to help brute force the origin data until it matches the initial hash.

Result: ~50% reduction in any kind of data no matter how random but it requires a metric fuck load of hard drives. Would this be possible? Ay lmaooooo

>Couldn't you just make a rainbow table of all possibilities that can be stored in 32 bytes
32 bytes = 32*8 bits=256 bits.

Possible combinations for 256 bits = 2^(256) about 10^77 possibilities.

I am gonna say no.
>>
>>58833903
Plus OPs scheme doesn't actually compress anything.

>To decompress, try every possibility of collisions for the associated index hashes.

I.e. this amounts to having to brute force 50% of the original data anyway.
>>
>>58833831
Why have the chunks so big? If this were a good idea a chunk size of 2 bits would suffice. Now we can just do what you suggested.

Random string:
00110110

Rainbow table:
00 -> 00
01 -> 11
10 -> 01
11 -> 10

Our compressed string:
00110110

And we have accomplished nothing, if the data is random enough the rainbow table is actually filled out and does nothing.

Because it's shit made for retards.

Because it triggers the uncomfortable realization that one need not spend 14 gorillion hours memorizing the idiosyncrasies of dogshit languages (e.g. C++ and PHP) in order to write code that works well. Basically, people can't deal with the fact that they got memed on, so they cope by hating the obviously superior thing.
