I own <-----this M/B.
I have a PCIe card (GTX 750 Ti) and want to use the onboard grahpcis options AND the PCIe at the same time.
Possible?
I read you may be able to change some settings in the BIOS to enable the onboard as the main graphics, but cannot seem to find this (assuming my board has it).
Any advice?
Anyone?
>>58890742
Try it
Boot with your gfx card and then plug in your onboard and should be fine
>>58891536
I did try that, maybe try the other way around? There are no settings anyone knows about that may need to be done?
So I broke my monitor last night because Daybreak is a shit company, but anyways, I know the easiest way to fix a broken monitor is probably just to buy a new one, but I think I've found an alternate solution.
Through a program called OBS, im using the display capture to view whats on my broken screen (i have a dual monitor setup) and it seems to work well, but I can't really read what's on there clearly (I'll post pictures so you can see what I mean.) What I'm looking for is a different program than OBS that can view other displays?
Thank you!
Sounds like you need some anger management techniques more than you need a new display.
This is OBS with display capture, but the problem I'm having is the extra grey sides of the screen, which is hard to read some text. Any other program to do this but not have extra stuff, but just the display capture? Thanks.

i have a general question. are gaming mouses and keyboards a meme? is a simple mechanic keyboard and a stable microsoft mouse enough for complex games?

I just got myself a used pic related JVC L-A31 record player. I have two Yamaha HS80M monitors, but no amplifier (they have their own power supply and until now I've only been playing music to them from my external sound card). What's the best way to connect my record player with the monitors without spending a fortune?
Forgot to mention: monitors only have 6.3mm and XLR connectors, while the record player has rca connectors. Should i just get a rca->6.3mm converters or is there some catch?

https://www.wired.com/2017/02/programming-is-the-new-blue-collar-job/
Is this just a bullshit narrative this guy pushing out there to make it seem like programming no longer takes effort? Does experience, education, and projects mean nothing now that boot camps are still being pushed and telling people getting a jr dev position is easy as reading up on programming once a night ever few months?
no, it's pretty much true, but not for the reason he states
it's because you can hire a bunch of pajeet H1B slaves at 20% above minimum wage and keep them locked up in apartment blocks and have them churn out your gruntwork CRUD applications.
You don't need to pay them a living wage because they're not really living in the US for all intents and purposes, they're basically modern day indentured servants.
>>58889523
>>58889583
this statement is accurate. Most people don't need people who got their bachelors degree and focused their electives on maching learning and data science.
The problem is that this doesn't work for US grads because of H1B. Why should anyone hire an American if they can buy a slave from India they pay pennies on the dollar, and can get kicked out of the US at any time?
Before you claim that programming is a blue collar job, you need to totally eliminate outsourcing.
>>58889583
>>58889638
So lower level developer jobs are basically asking for a fizzbuzz to be able to get a job? Quality is still a necessity in many areas of programming.

What model do you have?
Would you recommend it?
>A Chromebook is a laptop of a different breed. Instead of Windows 10 or Mac OS X, Chromebooks run Google's Chrome OS. These machines are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud.
Can I install debian on a chromebook yet?
I'd love a tiny arm laptop for writing code outside, but not if I have to use some hackjob chroot crap like crouton to install ubuntu
>>58889537
For the most part, yes you can.
I was able to boot various distros off a live usb drive after I put my machine into developer mode. You would have to do a little research to find out which machines could run debian the best, though.

>with most applications and documents living in the cloud.
"Somewhere completely out of your control".
All in all, under ChromeOS, it's a glorified internet booth. Don't expect to do any creative work on that.
97% of the top 500 supercomputers,
36% of the top 10 million webservers,

How does an android device not use linux?
I love my laptop i had used macbook and thinkpad.
But this shit elitebook 2570p is perfect, much better then x230. Astonishing build quality the aluminum body is great and don't feel weak like macbook, the hinges are great, all metal. Battery life easily 6 h of work and i will buy additional.
Dual drives are awesome: 2 tb hdd toshiba and 1 ssd.
cons:
doesn't have any "gaming"
shitty display
When i have this laptop i feel the build quality and i am not afraid to use it, when i had my frend macbook i felt that i can destroy it easily.

How would you convince your kawaii waifu to love GPL and libre software? I like to think Nico would be pretty easy to convince because she's so pure uwu
BUT
she can be kinda snarky and I need her to take the conversation seriously because proprietary software is a cancer holding back our society, and we won't be prepared for the coming revolutions without libre software.
You have a negligible effect on this board and you will be forgotten moments after the mod deletes this off topic thread.

Why do you still subject yourself by still using Windows?
Do you like and enjoy being a sitting duck that will forever be prone to malware? Even iOS and macOS cucks still get less malware than fucking Windows.
Here is a image of some penguins.
Because I need windows and don't need Linux.
>>58889228
I generally use Linux. I use windows only for some games and only because setting up passthrough seemed too complicated and I'm waiting for a kind computer wizard to fork virtualbox with integrated passthrough support for most hardware.
>>58889228
I don't use windows anymore. I left using it since the last year. I've used windows for more than a decade.
Windows keeps disappointing me while Linux keeps fascinating me. The decision should have been taken earlier.
