How is this thing? Is it a meme? Been thinking of getting one second hand from craigslist or eBay. Seems pretty useful for uni to draw out graphs/notes and holding a lot of my reference books.

I have one, its pretty awesome. I upgraded to Surface Book for photoshop and illustrator.
Onenote has the ability to replicate a piece of paper (with lines and everything). you can scan documents & book pages using the back camera (thru the onenote app) and highlight and mark them up with the pen. its DANK af

Well shilled Ramesh!

I was thinking of the Surface Book because I don't know how annoying it is to type on the typecover, but I figure I can get a Surface Pro 4 or 3 on eBay for a fraction of the price. On top of that, it seems annoying to pay that much for Integrated Graphics or a GTX 965m. I'm a huge sucker for jewing out money.
Hey, /g/.
I have an LG G4, and this phone is laggy as hell. I can't find a decent task manager. I've searched the playstore and F-Droid and can't find anything decent.
Right now I'm using Advanced Task Manager, and it's freeware garbage. I'm used to issues like this on PC, but Android just fucking confuses me. I'm running Android 6.0.
Also general Android performance tricks, I guess.
>>58895390
Scrap everything and run a custom ROM without gapps. Thank me later
>>58895390
Factory reset dummy. I got the same phone and it's been nothing but silky smooth the whole time. I'd say it's the
perfect phone if it wasn't for that whole bootloop thing.
What the fuck did you do to it? Did you try to have sex with it?
Task managers are fucking scams, they end up making the whole thing worse.
Your best bet is to root your phone and uninstall shit constantly running that you don't use.
This is the best thing you can do to this device.
Running that dank 10.12.3 perfectly.

how's the touchpad support?
i know everyone says use the nipple mouse, but what if you don't want to? BetterTouchTool + good trackpad support is one of the bigger reasons why enjoy my macbook so much
if you don't mind the touchpad and it's stable with good battery life and decent performance, that's pretty awesome. i love my older thinkpad and would probably go back to one if I could run macOS on it.
at the end of the day your laptop still smells like cum

two finger scrolling is the only gesture that works. but other than that, you can actually map three finger swipes as it is detected.
Hey /g/ i would like to buy a minimalist (60%?) mechanical keyboard.
I use a typematrix, i would like a matricial layout.
Where can i found one of these ?
Where the fuck are the numbers? What a useless piece of shit keyboard. Though, I am jelly of that mouse. I got the same one, but it's just your standard Logitech colors. Tell you what, I'll trade you an actual real keyboard for that mouse.

Do you even read?
Need some pointers.
On a new build that won't post. Mobo is showing CPU red led light, but the CPU works in my other PC.
Anyway to determine if its a PSU or mobo issue? Everything else is running (CPU fan, sys1/2/3 fans, GPU fan)

What VPS does gee use?

Ovh, $3.50/m for a reasonable spec. Website/VPN and whatnot
Interest in this thread because I'm looking for a storage VPS (2+TB) in the same city as a major VPN server that allows torrenting.

Is Mantle dead?
Yes it was superceded by Vulkan
>>58894911
No, but has been absorbed into other projects.
Mantle was an industry firestarter to demonstrate how much performance was being wasted in the current (at the time) APIs.
Vulkan is essentially Mantle 2.0
is using Linux a sign of mental disorder?

Then yes, full-mental autist.
I have recently come into possession of this beautiful thing, wat do with it /g/? (2004 eMac)
install gentoo
>>58894766
It's pretty much useless. The best you can do is hook it up with some drives through firewire and turn it into a homeserver.
At least with the intel macs you could install Windows 7 on it and have a somewhat up to date system. I guess you could try linux.
How can I break my internet addiction?

Have you tried being cyberbullied? I hear that shit makes you wanna kill yourself instead of look at screens.

Where do people use red hat anymore because I haven't seen a linux server in a small/medium business since I started working in IT support 7 years ago

What are you working on, /g/?
anime
Midna a cute.
Will I run into problems if I never use private? I almost always use public for my variables and functions. The books tell me to set things to private so people don't have access to things they shouldn't but if they're already doodling with the code don't they have full access already?

I made a thread awhile back asking for ideas of things to write in assembly, and now that my VM is 100% done, I need some more.
Pic related is machine code from the VM.
>>58894371
Post the source of the VM please.
Also, make an operating system for your VM to run. Give it a simple scripting language for commands and a simple HTML web browser.
>>58894452
The web browser is a bit too complex for right now but I can do the rest.

I'm working on learning how to share data between 2 or more over SPI or what have you and crunch the data in a meaningful way.
ie sending the same data to the two and getting them both to do something useful so its "two times as fast"
I just like toying with concepts and duinos and pis are great for exploring things like that.
>>58894328
Why just Arduinos?
