Out of curiousity, why a tracker?

On linux, a daw like LMMS works well enough for small tunes and is nicer than a tracker imo

How does /g/ keep their passwords?

I write them all down on a pad that's next to my keyboard and I also store them in Firefox with a Master Password. It's Triple DES encrypted, so still reasonably secure.

Memorize everything.
>>
I have memorized long strings of characters and my passwords are usually random chunks of it intermixed so that no password is equal to another but I can still remember them by position
>>
Zip them with a password and write that password in a notepad
Then I zip that notepad with other password and encrypt filenames
So I make a blank notepad with passwords name

And I zip it with all the others with a new password
And finally, the last password I write in secret way and upload it in a zip file to any cloud that uses my first password

;-)

Why is the python community so anal about everything?
>working on advanced python program
>ask question online
>90% of responses are along the lines of 'lol that's not how you should be doing it in python" and "muh pythonicity"
No other group of programmers is like this. No wonder it's dying.

>>
What is the "pythonic" way to do things?
Because mostly, I notice all python code examples consist of importing some library that does what they want and running it in a single command.

Do they shit on you if you try to implement anything yourself?

Who has the best Wordpress hosting? I haven't run a blog in years since I sold off my old ones. Previously I used Hostgator.

I need something that can scale up bandwidth quickly without massive overage charges if necessary.

In the past I ran blogs that were designed to stay relatively low traffic until a specific event happens. As an example, I might run a Dick Van Dyke blog which has general info and news updates every week or so. The blog sits quietly, building up search engine rankings and getting enough ad money to cover the monthly server costs, but other than that isn't really expected to be a huge money maker. If something big happens, like Dick Van Dyke's death, the blog explodes in popularity as people Google him.

Any recommendations?

Hello, /g/.

I am in the market to buy gamepad for PC (Windows 10 user).

I have two choices:
>Xbox 360 wired gamepad
>Logitech F310 wired gamepad

I can't decide which one's better. I plan to play mainly racing vidya, but the game itself is quite old (early 2000's) and not sure if X360 gamepad would work with certain old games. F310 has two different inputs, so is compatible with most retro and modern games (atleast its what I read from manufacturers website and other forums). X360 is also cheaper than F310 in my country. I also heard X360 gamepad is very comfy, whereas F310 feels very cheap and not so comfortable in hand. What are default button most active in racing vidya? Two joysticks? Does this makes playing very uncomfortable with X360 and F310 having different button layout? Thanks.

xbox pad, logitech pads are utter shit, crap analogues, awful dpad and buttons get really mushy after a while.

i owned one, threw it out, piece of shit logicrap
>>
I own a rumblepad 2, which is basically a F310. It works well witn W10, no problems so far. From what I’ve heard Logitech has a better d-pad, while X360 has superior thumbsticks.
>>
Splurge a little and get an Xbone pad.

It's all the positives of the 360 pad, plus the dpad is among the best I've used in 20+ years.

I'm trying to Jailbreak an iphone i've found.
Is there any way to find out what ios it's running on? I've already reset it to factory specs.
But it's locked to an unknown operator so I can't get out of the start screen when I start the phone.

C++ thread?

So I fell for the C++ meme, and started learning it. Mainly because many of the domains I'm interested in use it heavily, and I think I've learned enough hipster languages for now.

Sadly I'm still on windows due to linux driver issues, and I got the msvc compiler by installing the free version of visual studio. I'm having quite a lot of trouble installing libraries to get stuff done, and still haven't gotten QT to work yet. = /

Most languages I've worked with had a nice package manager that came with the default install or build system so I'm not really used to this kind of fiddling. Is there any package manager for C++ libraries which works reasonably well on windows? I'm open to changing IDE or using commandline + emacs, as long as I can get a working setup.

You need MingW on Windows to work with QT.
I hate this fuckery that you need to completly different compilers to get everything working sometimes in the same project
>>
>>59005363
That... is actually scarily accurate.

With that said, I found coding in C++ to be a lot less tedious than I expected thanks to the new stuff in C++11/14. The lambda syntax is butt-ugly but they make writing C++ code a lot less painful than it used to be. I just solved a few problems by writing higher-order functions and passing closures to them. Translating a solution to a problem I had solved in F# only doubled the linecount.

I'd love to have pattern matching like Rust though. =,(

> Kid says he only wants to play like 1-2 gaymes (probably indicating he doesn't really care too much about graphics, just want the machine to be good enough to play at a decent fps)
> Salesperson: Doesn't matter, you'd really be better off with the more expensive one
> Look at the specs after: i7 6700, 8GB ram, GTX 750 TI for 1000 euromonies
> Kid says that for that kind of money, he'd expect a desktop AND a monitor
> They start looking at laptops
> Salesperson suddenly starts ranting about how most of the Windows machines are cheap plastic, and if you want quality, you should get an "iOS device", cause they're made from metal
> Didn't bother hearing any more of that guy's shit

So any normie who asks about PC gayming, basically gets redirected to 1500 euromoney MacBook Pro's
I kinda felt sorry for the kid, on the other hand, he really should be doing his own research
