Anyone have any success with getting rid of a pre-installed Windows 10 on a new laptop and installing a new copy of Windows 7/8?
I have a paranoid feeling Windows 10 is going to leave some rootkits and other nasty things. Like herpes, it never truly goes away.

Lads, after 12 years of service my good ol' desktop computer has dieded or at least one can say she's in her final stages.
Now, I'm not gonna buy a new desktop computer since it was pretty much a Facebook machine for the past ~5 years, and a desktop just seems overkill.
I'm looking for laptop recommendations, my budget is around $600 and there's two things I'm looking for: HDMI out, and a non-shit resolution. And the ability to install an SSD on it, but I think I might hoping for a lot considering my budget.

So I got a 256GB PRO, normal Samsung SSD. It's got my W10 operating system, steam games, etc. Problem is its gotten full, fast.
So I was thinking about getting a pic related and having it as my dedicated game hard drive.
1. Will the M2 slot work as just a normal extra drive?
2. What is the best way to transfer my games from my old SSD to the M2 and keep my saves intact?

I'm posting because I have no idea what's going on after checking many possible causes.
Things constantly crash for me, and then explorer windows freeze, task manager doesn't shut things down, and I can't manually shut down because it just keeps loading the circle.
I basically have to shut down or restart with the case button.
I thought this was a hard drive issue, and disconnected that one drive. Things calmed down for a bit but it came back.
What could it be? Driver issues? RAM? Should I just reinstall windows?
By the way - programs like crystaldikinfo or hd sentinel show that the hard drives are all fine, even the one I disconnected.
