Flipped my monitor to portrait, it always looks like I have a bit of glare. Like a weird black glare towards the edges, no matter what angle I look at it from.
Is this a thing or what? Or is there something wrong with me?
Has anyone else experienced this? Don't make sense bro..
Thanks for all the replies you microsoft shills.
Get an ips monitor
I don't know if this is where I would post this, but I need a little help. My laptop is coming up on 5 years old now, and lately, when I start it up, it makes a very worrying sound. I can't describe the sound too well, but I did capture it on video here https://youtu.be/WCmWprXKc7g
The audio is pretty quiet, as it was recorded on my crappy phone, so you may need to turn the volume up a bit. Can anyone please tell me what this noise is? Picture semi related, I backed up a bunch of my files like a week ago just in case.

Anon pls go.
>>59367958
I didn't bother to rotate the image because I have other concerns right now. I don't give a shit if my picture is sideways.
>>59367943
I suggest taking it down to the local GeekSquad. They'll sort your shit out for you. Make sure to "stash" your "valuables", if you know what I mean. Wink wink nudge nudge.
You're wiring a shit edition.
I suggest fudging one or two things like model numbers or brands or specific devices to throw off the bad guys with guns.

I used a TOSHIBA which has a keyboard that was kind of peeling off but still worked to learn coding on when I was a NEET

Hello dear /g/ family!
Me and a friend of mine recently finished developing a Sampler/Soundboard android app
This app has a very convenient layout and the most important feature: it has the minimum latency you can squeeze out from your phone/tablet. Also you can load up your own sounds, set release time, use background music and more!
It took us quite a while to make it work smoothly so please take a minute and download the app from the play store! Ratings and reviews are most wellcome!

yeah, I have to agree. Why the fuck do you need all those permissions.
>>59367633
>>59367927
As I said you can load your own sounds thats why this app needs storage permissions
got the new X1 Carbon and I'm trying to get a second SSD in the WWAN slot; but I have a few questions because it seems to not be working. Starting out is a picture of the internals with the back removed
>>59367592
'This will kill your battery life
>>59367602
untrue; ssds use an extremely minimal amount of energy, and the purpose of having two is for dual booting OSes. Windows on the main SSD will not even be able to mount the other SSD and linux on the spare in the WWAN slot won't mount the main drive unless I tell it to by default
secondly, here is a picture of the WWAN slot more closely.
>>59367592
You've got the service manual right?
Battery question!
Assuming a 100% efficient system:
If I charge a battery at 200W for one hour, can I then draw 400W for half an hour, or 800W for 15 minutes before the battery is empty?
Shameless self bump
>>59367531
(200w*h)/(.5h) =400w

Why would you change what's already perfect?
wtf is this shit, i just wanted to update my drivers
i know, right
>>59367409
That's GeForce Experience, not the driver suite; it can simply install and auto-update your drivers for you. They still provide the stand alone drivers.
Can this man still save us from the botnet?

what does THAT mean
Why does my i5-2500k run hot as shit?
It seems like it just steadily keeps getting hotter over the years.
Just at 1/4th load, I get around 55-58C temps. Ambient is about 24C.
I put one of those stupidly large air coolers on it and it still has to keep the fan spinning high, and is the loudest fan in my case.
I also have a 200mm side fan in addition to that pulling heat off it, but the CPU fan still hast to work so hard.
It's not dust. This thing just keeps getting hotter and running shittier year after year.
>>59367364
Time to repaste.
>>59367398
I did new artic silver and a large cooler just like a year ago.
