Name a better phone
protip:u can't!
Crowdfunding advertising is still advertising.
Also, they're going down the apple road with exclusivity. Fuck this shit.
>it could be an entirely new, competitive phone OS that also uses Java for Android app compatibility
>but instead it's a pocket Ubuntu that dual-boots into Android
so what's the point then?
>Thanks for being part of the biggest crowdfunding campaign ever, and look out for Ubuntu on smartphones in 2014.
every type of ''repair'' leads to the same Error message. What a beautiful day to install linux!
>>59359627
>Too stupid to use Windows
>Somehow, thinks he is gonna be ok on Linux
>>59359833
haha nice dubs
>>59359627
See you next week anon
Don't mind me, just testing a script.
>>59359173
Did it work?
>>59359173
Was posting an anime girl part of the plan?
>>59359740
Yes, but it's a very low "solve" rate at the moment. Will keep experimenting (this usually won't require posting).
How do I retrieve .S files from my motherboard? Is there anyway to find/read your BIOS to make sure that you dont have a rootkit?
Also, what operating systems do you think are the best to use in terms of security and relevancy. I don't want some obsolete OS.
>get the BIOS binary
>disassemble it
>>59359545
How do you know the factory BIOS didnt install a rootkit on a BIOS update?
>>59361362
>How do you know there is not a rootkit inside your BIOS.
You can't, but you could run your PC behind 7 proxies...
Anywhere I can buy a cheap GPU support bracket or stand?
It's starting to sag.
Just buy a GPU with a backplate, fag.
>>59358694
>Buy wooden Dowel Rod from craft store
>Cut to size
>Paint to blend in with case
>?????
>Profit!
>>59358840
But that doesn't have RGB LEDs and it won't look sick in my rig...
I was gifted a 256gb SSD by a friend. am i better off putting it in my thinkpad which is my main computer or my desktop that i only use for gaming?
>>59358607
gift to me is better
>>59358607
laptop dude. ssds make OS's fucking FLY if you didnt know that
>>59358607
An SSD in a laptop means one less thing that can break easily with dropping, less power use, and no mild vibrating or noise. Unless you spend much more time with the desktop, an SSD in a laptop is more of a boon.
How do you correctly kill your HDD once you've dual installed Windows with Kali? Is it just the standard procedure with killdisk, or do I have to do something before I fuck my HDD up?
>>59358177
what the fuck are you asking
>>59358244
In short terms, I shrinked my main disk drive to 50 GB to install kali on my windows pc, So now I have two partions, one with kali and one with windows. All i'm asking is if there is a precaution i should take before doing so, since I've never killed a dual booted hard drive before.
>>59358334
so you want to do what? delete the old partition and increase the size of your kali one? why the fuck did you dual boot if that was your intention?
dont use killdisk use gparted so you dont fuck something up
Has physically manhandling a piece of technology ever made it start working again for you, /g/?
>>59349949
my 2nd monitor is screwing me over lately. It only turns on when i replug the power cable.
Since that isnt the most reliable technique anymore i have to punch it once and it starts working. Just like in some movie when a guy hits the TV and it works again. So yeah - i manhandle a piece of technology on the daily but i don't know how far that'll get me.
I had a laptop drive that was on its way out and the only way I could get it to work (for a few days between sessions) was to drop it on the ground and drag this super strong magnet across it.
This torture technique worked for about 2 months before it finally succumbed to death.
>>59349949
indeed, after slapping the back of my laptop afew times loud screeching shrieks could be heard, I'm sure some sticky fluid started coming out of the battery too
Sometimes when I'm bored I like to trawl low-budget sites for XSS (and if I'm lucky, SQL injection) vulnerability.
I've recently noticed that some sites seem to do something interesting. I enter my payload into an input or wherever will reflect it back when I submit the form and the webpage simply echoes the payload onto the page instead of executing it.
See pic: non-coloured text is the string I have entered.
First I tried with just<script>tags but after that didn't work, I figured I needed to escape the<h2>tags.
Is this the website itself refusing to execute it, or Chrome?
Because there's no reason that shouldn't execute otherwise. It's valid HTML.
You used</h2>twice and didnt declare the start of a decond one you dumb poo poo!
>>59347312
Oops, wrong screenshot.
But same thing with the <h2>.

This is why Indians are my favorite people. Thanks for the laptop ol' chump. I'll be sure to enjoy it.

Now that the dust has settled should a 2500k master race use 1700?
>>59377086
wait to get the 1600x instead
>>59377086
depends what for
2500K stutters in modern games with new GPUs, even though it got same fps as 6700K more or less
1700 is same as 7700K -10%
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76-8-4qcpPo&t
watch this, it's still better than FX but worse than everything new

Is "wait for x"some kind of amd catchphrase ?
You may love it or hate it, but Javascript is definitely one of the most controversial languages out there and it is the fastest growing today. Discuss your feelings about JS.
>>59376125
I like it
>>59376137
I love JavaScript. I used to be one of those fags that made fun of JS and people who used it because they couldn't program in C. But now I realize that JavaScript is an extremely important language to use with much higher job outlooks that any other language.
Basically C fags are mad they spent all their time learning a much more difficult language that won't give them as good a career as someone that spent their time learning an easier language that is much more useful and in demand.
>>59376194
for client end yes javascript is amazing. For back end tho its a meme
Hey /g/, /pol/tard here..
I'm South Américan, Uruguayan to be exact.
I've been asking about this in several places for a few days.
Infowars.com is unavailable for south américans since las week. Safe to say that we all have different OS, browsers, securuty settings, etc. so it's not that. Also, i've been reading infowars for quite a while and this never happened.
I commented on /pol/ and someone said this:
>someones server is down on your side. Give it a few to resolve, or manually install the CSS stylesheets needed.
But it has been a week already..
If you want you can check the thread No.116389619 - but i'll appreciate you poit of view.
Thank you /g/
>>59375444
why would you care about a website that literally hates spics?
>>59375471
I didn't really got that from all the years i've been listening and reading.
Also, we are mostly white, more so than the US. Something like 60-70%
But honestly i din't think they hate spics
Come on /g/ .... one good answer!
What are you working on, /g/?
