It's the default in so many documents that its easily one of the most used right next to Times New Roman
Papyrus just seems more used than you think because it stands out so much

How large should my root partition be compared to my logical partition?
Should the logical partition be larger than the root? Will the root only be holding system files and other junk like that?

Find someone selling a used 1070 and offer them 250$ for it
480
t. 1060 6gb owner.
I've researched this fro the better part of three hours now. I cannot decide. There is an equal amount of pros and cons for both cards. It seems like the positive remarks regarding the 1060 were far more enthusiastic than the positive remarks for the 480.
I'm confused about something. I saw several comments talk about being "future proof" and that the 480 was better with DX12 than the 1060. I know nothing about that. Also, I've been a Radeon user for many years. I can't complain much about their drivers other than to say that they seem simplistic in comparison to some of the tweakablity comments I've read over the years regarding Nvidia drivers. Perhaps this choice comes down to "future proof" and "better drivers". Any thoughts?

Now that the lint has deposited will AMD realize their shitty four core CCX design was a major architectural flaw and release a Ryzen refresh with true eight core complexes sharing a combined l3 cache? Global Foundries claims to have very high yields on its 14nm process so it's not like costs are prohibitive, but is AMD too jewish to discard 10% of their processors in exchange for something that isn't a laggy, buggy piece of shit?

Maybe the fact you have posted this thread everyday means you are wrong?
Fairly new to 3d printing, but I know I'm going to be using whichever I buy quite a bit throughout my industrial design education. Both are decently similar in cost and have great feedback but there are so many things to consider that I can't decide.
I was a Tiko backer so obviously I'm frustrated, amplified because I just recieved the M3D micro a few days ago (pissed at how tiny the print bed is)
The monoprice is built like a tank, and besides all the acrylic so is the tarantula. both are very customizable, but I've heard calibrating the monoprice is frustrating. The tarantula's print bed is much larger, (especially with the upgraded 200x280 bed) but it's a DIY kit which might be a downside considering I've never built a 3d printer before. soo many things to consider.
What do you think would be the better way to go?
>>59374811
I have an MP Select Mini and am pretty happy with it.
Can't say much about other printers since I only use the one I have.
>>59374811
>calibrating the monoprice is frustrating
Technically calibrating the print head itself only matters if you swap out the hot end with an E3D hot end instead. Calibrating the bed height on the MP Select Mini isn't hard at all, you just need to do two passes over each corner segment and figure out the corner heights.
I have a makergear m2 and enjoy it. Works well, very rarely fucks up.
What's the point of high resolution screens when you can just make fonts smaller on a low resolution screen?
You get the same benefit of more working space once you do that. And the words are still perfectly legible if you use a good bitmap font. Heck, I'd argue it's actually more legible and better for your eyes to use something like Anonymous Pro (which comes with bitmap fonts) then wasting money on a high resolution screen and rendering stuff like Apple iOS Monospace Font at 32pt and then scaling that down.

So I'm trying to install debian on my old Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop but when the installer tells me to select a wifi network the menu just loops, I select my wifi and enter the correct WPA/WPA2 PSK key and then it just goes back to the wifi select screen again. Anyone know a fix for this ornshould I just use a cable?
>>59374550
you chose non-graphical installing instead graphical installing, so probably it wasn't remind you to install specific wireless driver
here my suggestion
reboot
in install screen, choose graphic install
in detect network menu, let it inform you the specific wireless driver for it
download it in another pc, save it in another flashdisk
add the flashdisk with specific driver that you've been downloaded before.
Now back to detect network menu, it will get the specific driver by itself
>>59374696
forgot to say, just go to /fglt/
>>59374696
I have the firmware it askes for, non free for the wifi, added to my install and it detects it and I have agree to the license. Tried using the graphical install and I got the same problem the menu just loops.
