What else can/g/ talk about, they dont know how to code
I thought I'd ask /g/ because the users here believe in privacy.
I want to start my own news/opinion website but I want to be straightforward and part of the culture of the website not to track users information. I still want it to make money through advertising so Google Adsense is obviously out of the question.
Do you guys know of any advertisers that have this sort of mindset?
Why not just use static HTML so that it's so cheap to host you wont have to worry about ads at all?
You came to the right place, OP.

Hello there, /g/
I'm an aspiring programmer, I already learned some Python and i think i have the basics fully understood.
I recently found out that the field that most interests me in programming it's the Artificial Intelligence, I know it's a pretty hard objective to be had when I'm just starting out, but that's what i want.
I was wondering if anyone here could offer me some guidance, I can't just pick up any AI book because it's too advanced and i end up not understanding anything.
What do you guys reccomend to learn this? Should I keep going with Python 3? I've read some things about starting out with bots for games, but I don't know how to do even that.
I hope you guys can help me out, thank you.

Do Germans actually use this?

US-International ,actually.
>>59858937
correct, in germany we sing rammstein songs to enter text on a computer.
Is it finally time? Is it over? After the very disappointing reviews of AMD's Ryzen 7 and 5 processors, the company has nowhere left to go but belly up, they had their chance and blew it against Intel, I cannot think how they will ever recover from this.
I completely agree.. Ryzen was such a disappointment compeletely and utterly.... I am very glad I bought a 7700k

I already use Latex to keep women from getting pregnant. Why would I use it for writing shit?
LaTeX has a higher learning curve but the end results look much better. I made the switch years ago to LaTeX and glad I did
The main reason this board is filled with loonix shills is that windows users are happy with their machines and have no time for /g/
>>59858708
Quite the opposite.
This board is filled with Windows shills because they're interested in gaymen and consumerism not leveraging the ability of actual tech.
>>59858741
Literally 90% of the board is linux shilling.

.NET is now fully open source and cross platform. Mono is no longer needed.
What's the best distro?
/g/, how the fuck do I get a software interview? I've been playing with code for years now, but never really finished any projects (as I usually just throw old projects away) I can do fizzbuzz and other logic based stuff pretty easily, but I'm not super on top of my maths.
I've been sending out resumes for months, and gotten literally 0 responses.
if you were hiring for an entry level job, what would you want to see on a no-job-experience resume? how do I make sure HR doesn't do pic related?
should I walk into every software company's office with a cake and offer blowjobs?
I've mostly used C# and Lua, but I've also done some c++, java, and js/html/css.
if I don't get out of these shitty retail jobs I'm going to write the output of fizzbuzz on my wall in my own bloods and fucking blow my brains out with my 12ga
>>59858548

do you think any employers would take open source work seriously? I've thought about helping out some oss I use
I have been using Ubuntu MATE as well as Arch for a few years now. I liked apt-get and loved pacman but I just bought a refurbished T420 and want to go for something from the "rpm family" this time.
Should I go for Fedora, OpenSUSE or Cent OS?
install gentoo
>>59858452
OpenSUSE
It comes in two editions: Leap is regular release and Tumbleweed is rolling. Both are pretty stable because they have good auto-testing tools.
CentOS is for servers. Don't even bother using it on desktop.
Fedora is OK but nothing ground-breaking. OpenSUSE does everything a bit better IMHO
>>59858562
Yeah, a rolling release sounds great, also heard SUSE is about the best KDE experience one can get, heard the same thing about Fedora and Gnome.
Anyone using Tilix? Arrow-style breadcrumbs. How. Dug through options, nothing jumps out.
Shameless self-bump
I think that's Powerline
I think that you can install it with
pip install powerline-config
but google it
