Currently worthwhile CPUs:
>G4560 for budget builds (<$500) unless G4620/i3 is discounted over 25%
>i3 aren't worthwhile, unless for single threaded. e.g. dwarf fortress & emulators
>i5 aren't worthwhile. Get Ryzen 5, drop down to G4560, or up to i7
>No R5 1400 unless super cheap on sale
>i7-7700k is good but pricey. If over budget, consider 6700k and/or a locked motherboard + cheaper cooler; not chasing 4.8Ghz capable when you weren't gonna overclock - or get Ryzen 5/7
>R7 for compute/multitask/mixed use
Currently worthwhile GFX cards:

I need a new high end graphics card. My heart was set on a 1080 TI, but EVGA is next month I believe and Strix is just so fucking fat. I mean REALLY fat. Add the fact that they sell out in seconds and take weeks to restock. I'll wait if that is the best choice, but I am just seeing my options.
That said, I have been considering just going for a 1080 (maybe SLI down the line?) or a 980 TI SLI (heard great things). I want something that can max out most games at 1440p 60 FPS, and do great in 4K, which is why I was looking fot a TI. Also is SLI still a meme or is now a good place to start?

Hey /g/. I need your help choosing a new smartphone in the 300-350$ range. I was interested in "known" brand such as Huawei or LG but i am willing to go full chinese too. Honor 8 and Galaxy A5 2017 are what i was going for but i could use a little help. I absolutely need a usb c port, a jack audio a good autonomy and someting fast (don't confuse it with powerful). A good camera and screen would be preferable too. 5.2" max pls

Fun fact: that's a T520, rather than the T420 or the X220 that most of /g/ owns. So a lot of rossposters aren't actually using the world's best laptop. IMO the T520 is better than the T420 solely because it can use the W520 1080p panel (TN, but pretty good) as a stock option.

drivers for Ryzen but when I look it up online there is jack shit.
Also the mobos apparently say W10 only for some reason, how the fuck does the OS work then? (PC pleb here anyways).
I just want to use a viable OS for this my 1600 (which I have at this moment) for fucks sake.
