My super normie cousin deleted Facebook but somehow kept messenger. Is this the latest normie trend? Can we kill Facebook this way? He doesn't even have a profile pic anymore, but I can see him on my friends list. He also has no profile page.

Currently worthwhile CPUs:
>G4560 for budget builds (<$500) unless G4620/i3-6100 is heavily discounted
>i3 & i5 aren't worthwhile. Get Ryzen 5, drop down to G4560, or up to i7
>No R5 1400 unless super cheap on sale
>i7-7700k is good but pricey. If over budget: consider a locked 7700 and not chasing 4.8Ghz+ capable when you weren't gonna overclock - or get Ryzen 5
>Cheap Z270 board is still worth it for faster memory in games with a locked 7700. Cheap Z270 aren't for overclocking (VRMs suck)
>R7/Xeon for compute/multitask/mixed use

Currently worthwhile GFX cards:
>RX470 8GB, RX480 8GB, 1070, 1080, 1080TI
>1060 is worth considering over a 480 if same/cheaper in your country, or you just play games it's better on for the price. 1050Ti is for mITX builds
>Budget builds: consider integrated graphics over a card weaker than an RX470, unless another's price/performance is better (ie discounted/used)
>Vega comes in May

General:
>Don't feel bound to a specific brand/model. Parametric filters on pcpartpicker can help here
>Consider SSD only for what you budgeted on SSD+HDD combined. Add HDD later once needed

A few years ago I fucked up and bought a Windows RT. Not the x86_64 one, the ARM one. That's not even fucking Windows. No x86 programs will ever run on this piece of shit.

Selling it on ebay is not worth it either. The existing ones are going for a mere $20.

Is there anything remotely useful that I can do with this piece of shit?

Apart from missing sync (a meaningless feature if you are not an idiot), what's wrong with it?

I wish the UI was faster and that you could drag tiled tabs borders to resize. Apart from that it's truly the best option these days

I've recently gotten into an exchange about all of his predictions being way too optimistic; he changes either the ETA or expectations to be farther away or less demanding, respectively, with each new release of predictions.

Currently the 2018 goal post is for 10^13 terabits (Or 10 Terabytes, Wikipedia seems to use these interchangeably but they aren't) of computer memory to be $1,000 in 2018.

If we go by 10^13 bits, that's 1.25 TB of memory for $1,000 in a year.

Now, what I don't know is if he means total storage capacity (in which case yes, 10TB of SSD/HDD space is confirmably doable in a year for $1,000) or RAM.

Since he's already correct about total storage (With HDD), but his prediction stated computer MEMORY I'm going to test the idea that 10TB of RAM will reach $1,000 within a year and SSD storage will reach that price.

If we use MicroSD memory, that's currently accomplished via about $4,000 worth of SD cards.

If we use SSD's, that's about $3,000

If we use RAM sticks, that's about $62,500

So we're looking at, in the upcoming year, either a new production technology or an additional efficiency technology to get price drops of:
>75% on MicroSD storage
>66% on SSD storage
>A fuckload on RAM.

I would say over the past two years. I've realize how much of a time sink is video games and how video gaming culture is full of retards and pseudo-intellectual fuckers. I rather put that time in my career, education and more intellectual hobbies like reading scholarly books or improving my technical skills. If I want to game, I could just play board games with my friends (when I have the time) and not anonymously with random 13-year-old dumbasses and their bullshit over who can out twitch each other and waifus.

The last straw for me is looking at my computer and realizing that those games are just wasting space on my hard drive that could be put better use. I thinking that when I am going to reformat my drive I wouldn't install any games there at all.
