So I'm trying to take back full control over my windows 10 OS from the botnet shenanigans. But I'm having problems determing which windows processes to allow internet. Right now I have everything working except for windows update and cant make out which specific processes that need to have internet access for it to work. Someone with advice and maybe more reccommendatins besides firewalling, de-telementering and what not?

my friend wants help building a new pc for decent performance / good value gaming

GTX 1060
8GB ram
probably B350 motherboard
~600W power supply (probably more than necessary but leaves a bit of breathing room)
any comments? share your wisdom please. Also, is there an easy way to find out how many pci-e slots a graphics card will block on a motherboard?

The XPS 15 is the best choice out of those, however I would recommend getting a used T420 or T520 if you could.
