My current setup is a 1070 OC 3770k and 32 GBs of 2400mz ddr3. Should I sell my i7 and ram And get a beer cpu and 16gbs DDR4 3000mz?
Would I see much of a difference for the money ? Also how much should I sell the cpu+ram+mobo compound ?
why? so you would get 4% better performance for $200+?
>>60410456
No, you aren't going to see a huge performance difference.

Question: Is a Hackintosh more stable than, let's say, one of the big 4 (Ubuntu,Debian,Fedora, openSUSE) Linux distros?
>>60410278
Are you a retard? It's not even close. Linux is far more stable. Go backto Reddit or whatever shit hole you crawled out of.
Stability isn't an issue with hackintosh. A hackintosh will be equally as stable as a real Mac if you buy the right hardware.
>>60410417
Wrong.
Would you buy an intelligent car that phones the cops if you break the law?
>A drink-driver has been arrested after their car automatically alerted police that it had been involved in a crash.
>The Ford Fiesta contacted the authorities following the incident in Aghalee, Co Antrim, on Saturday night.
>Several car companies already offer emergency call options in the case of a collision, using either a phone built into the vehicle or by linking automatically through a driver's mobile.
>From April 2018 all new cars in Europe will have to be equipped with co-called eCall technology which, in the event of an accident, will contact rescue services, giving details of things including the location and time of the crash, and the direction of travel.

Hey, reddit. There's been a question on my mind for a very long time. On PC, nearly every OS (well, except OSX) magically seems to work with every Hardware. I've had Windows XP, 7 and now Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04 on one (very old) Notebook, and there doesn't seem to be an issue with it. Why is it that you don't get the same freedom with your smartphone? I know that you can install Ubuntu Mobile (yeah, that was a thing) on third party devices, but only select ones, but aside I've never seen anyone giving away/selling licences for Android or Windows10M. Basically your smartphone seems to be locked to the OS you buy it with.
Microsoft recently dropped support for a bunch of windows phones, and I've already mentioned Ubuntu only being supported by a handful of devices. Is it a hardware issue? Is there simply no money in the market? What does everybody think (or know) about this?
Sorry for the long post, but I'm really curious about this.
>>60408974
Reddit your mom.
Well it is supported, but nobody is actually doing it since ricing Android to be an ungoogled piece of shit that just hosts a VM and an X server is way easier
>>60408974
Because phone manufacturers don't make their drivers available for every OS and don't make them open source. You can't have an OS without drivers. On PC manufacturers do release drivers for Windows and Linux.

Better question is how stupid you have to be to continue paying for it

So I keep seeing certain strangers being suggested in my FB search bar. They are ranked higher than my actual friends.
Now I know that visiting a FB profile makes that appear higher in the list, but I never visited these people's profile.
Are these people stalking me? Do any of you have an idea about the FB algorithm behind the search bar??

Is there much price difference?
Always use the latest architecture, especially for a premium i7 build. There is little discount for buying the old one, and you'll find it there is some bullshit feature in the new one you haven't even thought about that suddenly develops a use over the years.
My last build was a choice between Sandy Bridge or the then just new Ivy Bridge. Went Ivy Bridge and paid $20-30 more. Four-five years later added a USB3 digital video capture card that only works on Ivy Bridge and above because of USB3 architecture shenanigans that I had never considered at the time of purchase.
By buying the latest you get all those lateat bells and whistles, some of which may turn out to be important in the future. There usually isn't much of a price discount on buying the last gen and leaving yourself at risk of missing a feature for a lazy $20.
>>60407498
The cheapest one. They're pretty much equivalent.

Anyone good at Access?
I have a database which I want to poll for information.
The database has entries of person, product, numbers sold and date.
I want to make a simple control panel that will let me select a person and write in a date. The result should be a list of products and how many of each (summed) have been sold for that person on that day.
I'm just not sure where to even start with this.
Just use SQL.
> Using access
kys
>>60407228
Nigga, just use PostgreSQL. Or MySQL. Or even fucking SQLite. Why would you even use Access?
