I would like to distribute my program knowing full well what it links to (no shared libraries), so I wouldn't get any head-aches later on. I successfully did it for SDL2, GL3W and Nuklear, but I'm not so sure what to do with libc. What do you think? Would there be any disadvantages
when linking libc statically? The advantage would be clear and obvious: my program would be 100% self-contained.

The only reason DLLs still exist is to work around licenses.

But glibc exists under LGPL which allows linking to them. So I suppose you think that statically linking to glibc is a good idea?

Also, I think there are other reasons that do not interest me:
> free updates without breaking the ABI (security, bug fixes, optimizations)
> smaller binary distribution size
>>60481171
Does it work on Mac and Windows? How hard would it be to port to iOS and Android?

Pretty much this.

Back in my day, people would pen spin when they were board.

But apparently that takes too much manual dexterity so everyone just buys a fucking spinner or cube?

>"Some people say that it is not for government to regulate when it comes to technology and the internet," it states. "We disagree."

>We will work with industry to introduce new protections for minors, from images of pornography, violence, and other age-inappropriate content not just on social media but in app stores and content sites as well. We will put a responsibility on industry not to direct users—even unintentionally—to hate speech, pornography, or other sources of harm.
>We will continue to push the Internet companies to deliver on their commitments to develop technical tools to identify and remove terrorist propaganda, to help smaller companies build their capabilities and to provide support for civil society organisations to promote alternative and counter-narratives. In addition, we do not believe that there should be a safe space for terrorists to be able to communicate online and will work to prevent them from having this capability.

This is news how?

The UK government are trying desperately to police the internet, guess how that's working for them? All they've done is waste money on systems that can be circumvented within 10 seconds just to appease the right wing old codgers that find the internet as terrifying as the negro living next door to them.

Also this is the manifesto, only proposed legislation that would need to pass through the house of lords/commons who are tasked with trying to take tory rhetoric and scaremongering and turn it into an actually enforceable bit of legislation.

HIS VERY FIRST PROPOSITION IS LITERALLY "think of the children!!!!"

Oh my God what is so wrong with the UK and this nonsense obsession over protecting the children?

there is literally no reason to do this. upgrading the GPU is very easy. by the time a a recent 1000$ GPU gets challanged to the edge of it's ability there will be much better cards out for half the price

spend 500$ on a gpu and keep the other 500$ for the future for upgrade. much better
>>
Yeah, i don't see the point of them.
Better SLI/Crossfire 2 $300 cards than have 1 $1000 cunt.

What do I do? She already had to stop me from sperging out yesterday about how Alienware are meme computers, but I just can't sit around and let her get jew'd in good conscience. She seems distrustful of anything that isn't a pre-built PC, so my suggestion that I piece together something for her are out the window. Are there any high-end pre-built computers you guys could recommend that might save her a bit of money?

>>
>>60480156
Nope, you're going to get absolutely raped in either overall cost or in making compromises to components by downgrading a few options by buying a "high-end" prebuilt. Prebuilts at the extreme low end (think office PCs) can be a decent deal but for gaming they are absolutely horrible.

Hey there /g/. So two weeks back my dad dieded. He was the main earning guy in our family. So we're really fucked now.
We have enough in our saving that'll run us through a year with my study expenses. After that we'll be getting enough money to run the family but not for my study.
So I really need something to support my study. I can't go into part time job. I'm 19 and in our country no place will hire me that's not a slave house. I mean no supershop, restaurant job or other work like that. I'm comfortable with anything tech related. I can mediocre ad desiging and posted a gig on fiverr but it was a bust.
So I thought about coding and programming work. Now I know this is hard and will need time and I think I have enough time. I don't thousands of dollars. A steady 40-50$ per month will be sufficient.
So you think I can do it? Where and what do I start with?

If you don't have any programming skills try to get into software testing.

Pick up a few MTA's from the Microsoft virtual accadamy.

Good luck dude.
