>finished med school earlier this month
>always wanted to get into coding and such and always been interested in becoming a "hacker"
>learned a bit of python earlier this week but can't really see how one could transcend into becoming a "hacker" from being a coder

not trying to be a the le meme hacker we see on tv that develop viruses, etc. but more so the actual term of being a hacker where I am able to hack into an existing code and manipulating it in order to make a program do whatever I like

Where do I go from here? Like I said I have very basic knowledge of coding in python

>>
>>60473127
Why would I want 4k on a phone? I'm not going to be using it with a microscope, so >160ppi is more than enough for me. Anything more than that is just a battery hog, and before you claim that it's great.. It would have been even greater, faggot.

I don't see anywhere else on this site to ask so i'll ask here.

I'm looking for a pair of floorstanding/tower speakers for a 2.0 setup for some casual music listening. Budget $600. I'm not exactly sure what i'll be listening to. My only other real requirement is they be a bit on the tall side, preferably 40"+, less depth of footprint the better. And new condition, not used or refurbished.

I've looked around online and it seems most of the budget towers that fit my criteria are no longer being sold.

I like the fluance xl7f the built in sub seems ideal for cheap casual 2.0 setup but I dunno. I'd really rather go with floorstanders over bookshelf with stands. My understanding is they should be able to pump out a lot more volume.

>My understanding is they should be able to pump out a lot more volume.
They do, but you also might need a bigger room...
>>
>>60472661
pro tip when using speakers..

the larger the speaker and the less room they play in, the less profitable they sound.

if you want something for desktop, a yamaha hs-8 sized bookshelf speaker is the maximum you would go and even this is still slightly too large to make create a reasonable use case.

if you want speakers that fit your desires and criteria, we need more input on how, with and where
>>
>>60472694
They may be used in a variety of room sizes. I'd rather turn down loud speakers in a small room than try and crank up small speakers in a big room.
>>60472757
not for desktop, at all.

It takes half an hour to into vimtutor and know as much as you need for vim to beat out using notepad tier garbage.

Past that point the big advantage is well established community and support for if you want to into high-level text editing.

But if you want to become a wizard, you can't do better than Emacs.

Of course but I know many people who don't

A new flaw has been discovered in Google Chrome which could allow malicious actors to steal credentials on Windows PCs.

http://www.zdnet.com/article/windows-10-credential-theft-google-is-working-on-fix-for-chrome-flaw/

Discovered by DefenseCode security researcher Bosko Stankovic (via ZDNet), the flaw works through a clever trick in the way Chrome and Windows both treat Windows Explorer Shell Command File (SCF) files, which are used as a Show Desktop icon shortcut. The end result is that the SCF file can be used to obtain a users LAN Manager (NTLMv2) password hash.
