Uh, if you just pull chips off the board, it's not going to go well.
bumping for op
Still, I'm afraid that everything is so tiny and soldered together that it's impossible to do it without destroying your phone. The times when you could tinker with electronics of your device are long gone.

Just fuck up the antenna
What are the advantages of using this?
I have a friend that says this allows him to go to over 20000 deep web websited google/mozila etc don't.
Is it true and even if it is why would you want to go to the deep web?

>What are the advantages of using this?
If you have to ask than you probably don't have a need.
It's for securely browsing the internet with as much privacy as possible. It's also for access tor hidden services.
Let me give you a few use cases:
>Katie's marijuana plants are sick and she wants to know how to make them healthy again. Unfortunately for Katie, marijuana is ILLEGAL in her country and she doesn't want her ISP reporting her for possible criminal activity.
Katie can use TOR to bypass ISP surveillance.
>Jimmy wants to access a torrent tracker's website but torrent trackers are blocked by his ISP.
Jimmy can use TOR to bypass his ISP's black.
>Bob holds a political opinion that is being oppressed in his country. Bob wants to communicate with like minded people without fear of being tracked and persecuted for his opinions.
Bob can use TOR to communicate securely without being tracked.
>Sandy wants to take mdma at an upcoming party but doesn't try that the local dealer's 'ecstasy' is really mdma.
Sally can use TOR to access a hidden service where she can buy mdma for a peer-reviewed vendor.
etc.
Though like I said, if you have to ask, you probably don't really need it.

Reminder that if you don't know how to shut down your Windows PC with a command line or powershell you are not a real power user.
Am I the only one who thinks the term "power user" is cringey as fuck?
I'm not a native English speaker so maybe it's just that, I don't know
What torrent client for what OS and why?
I currently use Transmission-GTK on Fedora and Deluge on Windows.
>>60623391
Transmission on macOS.
As long as I can bind the network to the VPN interface every client is fine
They all have pretty much the same features, it just boils down to personal preference
Although I wouldn't use uTorrent for various reasons
>>60623391
I use uTorrent on Windows 7 (:
>disable javascript
>no websites work
what the fuck is wrong with you people, you said it would be fine and i'd be free
>>60623123
why would you want to disable javascript...
and yeah retard most websites utilize JS, like the one you're using right now
>>60623123
What websites are you using?
There's literally no need to use javascript.
>disable html
>no websites work
What did they mean by this?
I have Cox internet (fios not available in my area), and they've blocked my external ports and I'm no longer able to host anything. I was doing a Minecraft server, obviously not now.
I was talking to a guy at work who says if I VPN my connection then they can't block it out? I'm weak in networking but my thinking is if the external ports are outright blocked, then nothing can get through whether it's encrypted or not?
Second opinions / more information? I'm a networking newbie, most advanced thing I did was setup the linux box and iptables to accept external connections.
Host on an allowed TCP port then? Port 80 is open unless you can't connect over http to any website.
>>60623177
They've blocked all but the necessary stuff, and I didn't think I could host connections on port 80 or 443 or anything that was in use by something else?
I don't know how far american isp are allowed to go but if all your ports are blocked, you shouldn't be able to use internet at all pretty much.
If excel is godtier what mac users are working with?
Excel
Ms office has Mac ports
>>60623025
Except for the cancerous 2008 version, Excel on Mac OS have always been pretty much the same.
And today it IS the same.
I'm looking for a simple way to handle expression-like statements in Python. My project is an app which connects to an sqlite3 database; I want to make it possible so the user can specify which records they want to get. But I can't let the user directly query the database for many reasons. I want them to be able to type something like "id>14 and name=Kate" and it'd get converted to some kind of an object and this would get converted back to string which would be parsed to an SQL query. Is there a simple way to do it?
Simple enough.
Use SQLAlchemy core with your own gay ass command interpreter on top.
Or use just use any other GUI packages as front end
If you're lazy, you can just insert it directly into the query after deleting SQL keywords like "select", "union", etc. Otherwise, you'll have to parse it with a pretty thorough string manipulation algorithm
>>60623015
very simple but filled with unnecessary scaffolding and other memes
sqlalchemy and even then you still need psycopg2
just write your own. good learning experience
Where is the 4chan repository to dump my projects on?

We don't have one. /g/ is filled to the brim with /v/ retards that couldn't hack their way out of a paper bag. Nowadays we don't take privacy seriously and we make fun of the Linux baby's. All the competent anons have mostly migrated to other sites over the last few years. It's the sad truth.
Every once in a while you'll see a piece of gold amongst all the trash, but it's far and few in between.

Any idea about those sites they've migrated to? Genuinely asking as I want to actually learn shit and be a part of something better compared to neo/g/
Why has technological progress become so shitty and retarded?
I've seen the typical "le redditor" types talk about how technology is progressing faster than ever, but I don't see it. It seems more like everything has been grinding to a halt in the last few decades. There were only 66 years between the first successful plane flight and landing on the moon. It's been 48 years since we landed on the moon and what have we done since then? Hundreds of iterations of shitty phones, video games, muh 3D printer fad, some dumb gimmicks like half baked VR, and I guess the internet is really the only noteworthy thing but it's mostly just a depository for shitposts and porn.
This isn't impressive. It's just depressing.

3D printers are pretty cool mate. What would impress you?
Amazon has tons of datacenter tech jobs available and they all offer onsite training with few requirements.
Anyone ever work for them, seems way too good to be true
>>60622768
I worked in the warehouse and management was pretty low brow. The IT guys were all stand up, though.
They work you too hard, but otherwise they are alright. Wages aren't as competitive anymore. Everyone whines that they want yes men, but there isn't a company with that many employees that isn't like that.
Also, be white and male or leave after 2 years. Tons of shit out there about them being idiots about this shit.
It'll probably be night shifts too. I currently work normal 9-5 hours in a data centre in England (not Amazon) for £23,000 a year. Another company offered me £17,000 to do 12-hour night shifts, 7pm-7am. I turned them down, but if you can handle that, you can probably handle the Amazon job.
Why don't you use Clojure?
