Why don't you use Clojure?
>>60622667
just waiting for the third one
I refuse to interact with Java whenever possible
>>60622703
The Java part is a really big deal for me. I don't understand why that cobbled together thing is even accepted in enterprise...
>>60622667
(Because (not (((want I) do) this)))
>>60622667
i do.
>>60622667
I'd rather use Scheme (or GNU Guile) if I wanted to use a relevant Lisp.
Clojure is a joke.
The JVM thing is a deal breaker.
If I was willing to use the JVM I'd just use Java. If I want to use a lisp, I don't want to ruin it with the JVM
>>60622667
Because picolisp is superior and faster.
>durr why don't you use what i use durrrrr
Racket is better so why bother
>>60622667
Lisp fucking sucks.
>>60628769
ur mom does too
>>60622695
Third = 3
Holy shit
Half life 3 conformed
>>60622667
Common Lisp supports about 40 years of codebase, even from Lisps prior to it, and has a ANSI Standard
Common Lisp doesn't impose lack of state on me which helps for prototyping and debugging
SBCL's debugger is still the best built in debugger of any platform I know of
slow ass compile times, random REPL failures (there are a lot of shitty Clojure devs that were web devs that wanted to get into functional programming)
Java is cancer and Rich Hickey (PBUH) can't change that no matter how cool he is
Rich Hickey is actually not that cool because Datomic is closed source and he could have built this in Common Lisp or a C VM and his choice of Java as a platform for this was mostly a hack job and for marketing, Hickey also misunderstands the problems in computing (they're social ones not technical ones) and by failing to do so hes created yet another problem
the Erlang guys did in 1990s everything Clojure is trying to do now

Why don't you use Steelbank Common Lisp?
