What torrent client for what OS and why?
I currently use Transmission-GTK on Fedora and Deluge on Windows.
>>60623391
Transmission on macOS.
As long as I can bind the network to the VPN interface every client is fine
They all have pretty much the same features, it just boils down to personal preference
Although I wouldn't use uTorrent for various reasons
>>60623391
I use uTorrent on Windows 7 (:
A Transmission daemon on a RaspberryPi and a Transmission web interface in a browser on a local machine.
>>60623537
Why is qbittorent so low ?
I liked much more that deluge because it has search function
>>60623751
Because it's an outdated version.
>>60623751
Same here
It has "it's moments" sometimes, but it's still my favourite client and most bugs are fixed
Nyaapantsu has now an official search plugin on qBittorrent btw

>uTorrent 3.5

Enjoy your botnet
Qbittorrent is all you will ever need. Deluge is a buggy meme.
Also these captchas are getting fucking ridiculous
What client recommend for android?
thx dear anons
>>60623391
Deluge
>nice logo
>blocklist autoupdate
Transmission because it has a nice webUI that I can open on my headless server.
I've been using qBittorrent on Windows 7 but it has the annoying habit of downloading shit I've actually deselected in a torrent.
Updated to v3.3.12 so I don't know what the fuck is going on. May have to switch to another client.
>>60625642
Anyone else?
>>60625391
>Blocklist
Do you even know how BitTorrent works?
Halite does weird shit occasionally but I like it.
>>60623391
Transmission leaks your IP if you use a VPN.
>>60625702
yep and blocklists work
>>60625531
This
Ktorrent for the occasional torrent on desktop
Transmission-daemon on Odroid for seeding 24/7
>>60623391
>uTorrent 3.5 (build 43804) [32-bit]
>Windows 10 Pro 10.0.14393.1198 (Win10 RS1)
>>60623391
Deluge on Server 2012R2.
Works really nicely. Really tempted to virtualise everything so I can run rTorrent.

hichjacking this thread to ask a question
recently switched from utorrent to halite
utorrent allowed me to prioritize files within the download, like download first episodes before the last ones and untick the ones I don't want
how do i do that in halite?
>>60625892
nvm found it
had to check the torrent file and press the gear
>>60625727
lmao if you think so I won't stop you
>>60625718
What Clients don't?
>>60625945
I know for a fact that it work, it's my job to make dht crawlers to work even when clients don't connect.
>>60623391
qbittorrent and deluge on Arch
Vuze is the only client that maxes my connection on Windows, so I use that one. Well, uTorrent does too but you know.
>>60625791
>not starting torrents remotely on your phone
It's 2017, grandpa.
>>60627001
that's not a client then you mongoloid, it's a remote control webapp
>>60623391
qbittorrent is the torrent client to rule them all.
>>60627061
Probably uses xmlrpc and https authentication but why would you assume it wouldn't be a client?
It sure as fuck isn't a server lmao.
Transmission-Gtk on my Gnome laptop
Qbittorrent on my KDE desktop
>>60627163
>pissphone
Cause you're clearly asking for a torrent client not a remote control client, you strawmaning retard.
Also filtered.
>>60627197
Because a torrent client can't have built in protocol for communicating with a server?
Don't hurt yourself kid.
>>60623391
- Halite for win32, lightweight and simple and FOSS.
- qBittorrent for everything, heavy cause qute but has a builtin torrent search engine (and tons of user made python plugins that add new trackers) thanks to that I don't need to browse shitty tracker websites anymore
I just use Transmission Remote GUI and have a Server running a Daemon.

using qBitorrent on gnome, because the piece of shit Deluge refuses to start.
>>60623772
Is there a GUI version for rtorrent? I can't seem to find it. Wanna switch from tixati, it's a mess to even uninstall it, the icon cache remained in the launcher etc.

>>60623391
Deluge. I prefer qBittorent but it just wont pick up any seeds from a certain private tracker I use, and I have no idea why (it's not banned obviously).
>>60623391
I like the search feature that's built into Qbittorrent.
I have 17 public sites installed into its search engine, and I'm pretty happy with the search results I get.
The public results are good enough that it's prevented me from getting any motivation to go private.
I've had no problems with connecting, and the speed seems fine. I go through a socks5 proxy, and that works fine too.
I use QB version 3.3.1 on Linux.
