Why is the surface so expensive?
It's microsoft trying to compete with apple at the apple price bracket.
Except it's actually worse and they're literally selling $2100 laptops that can't even run win32 applications, or dev tools or even other OSes.

>Except it's actually worse and they're literally selling $2100 laptops that can't even run win32 applications, or dev tools or even other OSes.
I have a Surface that had Windows 10 installed and it was great for gayming using win32 applications but then I got tired of only playing games and not contributing at all to the wonderful world that is games so I downloaded dev tools to make my own games and they worked fine but then I got sick of the Win10 botnet and Cortana's stupid shit with candy and such so I wiped my drive and installed Ubuntu and now I comfortably write games on Ubuntu on a Surface.
Screw you.

This is really lovely, DSA have been way too expensive before.
Would this hack really work or is it just a troll image?
>>60626802
It might work at short distances and low speeds if both device's tolerances are sufficient. You certainly couldn't rely on it.
>>60626802
I mean it COULD work, like >>60626824 says. Wires are simply wires, nothing more than what you connect at each end. You could even run a DC circuit with ethernet cables by manipulating the wiring; it doesn't have to be an internet connection going through the cable. As long as you line up the wiring correctly, it could easily act as a USB extension cable.
>>60626802
It probably wont. To go above the standard's limit you need really good and expensive cables or extenders. We buy some super expensive DVI cables at work to extend the max range some 5 meters. It works most of the time.

Maybe it was a joke?
> At Google I/O the company revealed that we'll be seeing standalone Daydream headsets from HTC Vive and Lenovo later this year.
Not plugged to PC or mobile phone or anything. Completely stand alone. Just put it on and immerse yourself.
Google dominating AI. Dominating the Internet. Dominating smartphones. Now also VR/AR. How can other companies even compete?
BUT HOW MANY PICKLES DOES IT HAVE
IT NEEDS TO HAVE ATLEAST TOO MANY PICKLES
>>60623740
Still could not care less about the VR meme. Tried the Vive once, was fun for about 10 minutes, honestly can't see how this will ever 'take over' anything. It's a gimmick.

Joke is on jew, i dont use anything from google, not even google or jewtube.
Vega will be out but it will already be too late and most probably won't even beat 1080ti
Next year Nvidia will release volta early and will again take up all the market share and vega 2 will again bite the dust.
Why can't AMD speed up their shit and bring better product like they did with ryzen.
They have made every Intel cpu other than 7700k(just gaymers) obsolete, why not do the same with gpu market
Don't worry vega will redeem them
>>60623425
>Why can't a company with a fraction of the resources of Intel or Nvidia individually blow them the fuck out in two markets simultaneously?
Really gets the mind racing.
