Why does Intel change their sockets so often? Is it really only greed or is there a valid reason for it? Could they make the same performance improvements if they stuck to the same sockets for longer?

Is he secretly our guy? I am quite serious just look at his changes.
>Jonathan Ive has nearly full control products Tim has to listen to him, and than we have Trashcan pro
So timmy after this failure said to him to not take anything besides design and anounces next mac pro which will be modular like in good old times. At the same time creates imac pro as a temporary solution with some really cool specs.
>Apple is unupgradable
Yeah everyone would like to have the ability to change or add graphics card in macbook and imac. Wait tim anounced you can do this externally from this year and more graphic cards will be added to be supported. So yes you can connect your Rx580 and have great VR.
>We need some graphics library
Created metal noe made metal 2 which is like really really powerful.
>AR
You got it this year
>MachineLearning
Its here
> Api to literally everything icloud, siri, nfc
yup you got it
> Apple can't get on smartwatch market android will do better and dominate it
Not really made it later but better
> You were all about inventing now you are shit tim
And you know what Tim is not a lying bastard. He is not saying that they did it first etc. He is just saying the truth not like jobs.
from 2:47
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_vQ7P60wxA
he literally says they didn't had first tablet, smartphone, music player etc.
>Just give me ARM computer
I changed ios 11 to closest thing we ever had to ARM computer pro software is just being created for it right now. Just look at affinity photo it's already on ARM in full version not mobile
>Meh IOS shitty file system
APFS fixed it for you. And I build in it advanced cryptography to keep you safe ;)
>Meh IOS where is my file manager
I created one especially for you.
>But why so pricey
Sorry I have to my investors sometimes push me to do dumb things like in every big company.

Steve was inovative but wanted apple as closed as it gets.
They both have a vision but it's very different and tim needs time to make it his way. He is just making it more open to users.
but can't do everything like Steve because he would be fired if something goes wrong.

AMD had to clear out their old inventory somehow, probably selling the to HP for dirt cheap. IIRC HP had a few 2U servers based on the first gen Bulldozer Opterons, so not too surprising.

Has there been a thread about this yet? Seems really cool. Trying to talk some friends into getting one with me so we can save $200 and get the five pack. It seems just about perfect. No TrackPoint, but on the GNU/Linux side of things I could get by just fine using i3wm with no mouse. Seems like it could replace both a phone and [carry] laptop for me.

>>
>>60805924
It sounds like it's coming with Android and some to-be-determined GNU/Linux distro. Hopefully it has good community support. There was mention of Sailfish, which I would definitely prefer to Android, and if it supports Ubuntu for the GNU side, that'd be fine I guess, but I'd obviously prefer something else, maybe Void.
>>
>>60805935
>>60805840
its arm and has phone bits so linux as a standalone OS is basically impossible. Anything hinting otherwise is pure scam.
