I run a 5k yesterday. I broke the 29 minute barrier for the first time in my life and run it in 28 minutes 48 seconds. It's been a long road since July, when my first attempt was 44 minutes. Realizing how bad I was back then, made me start running and lifting (which I have been doing ever since).

While running yesterday, during the last 200 meters I accelerated to around 15 km / h. During those last 30 seconds, I felt more alive than ever in my life. I was running without feeling my legs, I felt like flying. When I stopped, I measured my heart beat, it was exactly 175 bpm.

I went home to sleep, woke up feeling like I was born again.

I know this is like a blog post or something, so please subscribe etc, I just felt like sharing these feels of mine with my bros.

I want to lose fat and started eating at a low deficit. Just started lifting and was able to lift 1pl8 the other day but today I could barely do a set. I'm eating 1200 cal being a 5'11'' 162 lb 21 year old girl. do I need to eat at maintenance to get stronger? The workout was also pretty late today and I was already rather tired going in, could that be it too? I just want to get strong but I feel like such a fail already

youre 5'11, 1200cals is too low for you even at a cutting rate. try 1500cals as a guideline, i'm 5'7" and i lost 22lbs on 1500 per day. 1200 cals is for girls below 5'3 or something, def not recommended for someone who's lifting

Ok it's kind of embarassing but I seriously need some help.

In my experience, farmers walk helps overall grip strength.

Shrugs are nice, but farmers walk bounces the weight around in your grip a little more, which seems to 'test' its weak spots in the grip and makes it overall stronger. This is all just bro science of course, but it makes sense to me.
