who /Frenchonionsoup/ here?
not my favourite soup, but top 5
I literally just made this today, it's my favorite soup because I deglaze the onions with wine before adding the stock and then drink the rest of the bottle
>>9234843
what's your favorite
What does it taste like?
>>9234503
Like a creamy white finishing sauce.
>>9234516
Honestly my favorite finishing sauce.
>tfw its another plain spaghetti with ketchup day
>>9234442
I have never had one of those days, much less another
For me its a spaghetti and salt day
I do spaghetti and pesto when I'm feeling lazy and need a quick bite
Food really only needs salt & fat to taste good.

Wife asked me to cook these chicken legs tonight.
Need some good but simple breading or marinate ideas. I've got the usual: bread crumbs, eggs, butter, oregano, salt, minced garlic, both apple and white vinegars, BBQ sauce, steak seasoning, and Tabasco sauce.

r8 my clam curry
Looks pretty watery anon, did it taste good?
>>9234294
eh, it's ok. adding clams didn't do anything, you can only taste them when you eat the actual clams. going back to beef/pork for my next attempt.
How do I make potatoes like coras? My local coras is really fucking good. The potatoes are sliced and slightly moist but browned. I dont know if they put any seasoning on them but id love to make them this good at home.
If you have instructions be as autistically detailed as possible when it comes to times in the pan/oven etc and heat. I've tried to replicate so many online recipes with a picture of something tasty just to have mine turn out like shit.
I can't see shit. That image is for ants.

>Slice with a mandolin to desired thickness.
>Place in mixing bowl
>Oil and season as you see fit.
>Refrigerate until cold.
>Saute pan on medium-high with butter, salted.
>90-120 seconds per side
Bam crispy 'taters with a mushy but cooked center. If your stove top sucks, I guess you could finish them off with about 6-8 minutes, after saute, in a 400f degree oven...but that's your call.
If you want crispy, always saute or fry cold stuff.
>>9234281
Sorry it was the only decent picture of the potatoes by themselves. I didnt have my phone with me when I went to coras today.
I feel that the standard pie dough isn't a good fit for coconut cream pie. OTOH graham cracker crust doesn't sound great either.
Are there any good alternatives?
>coconut cream pie
look for a crust with crisco in the recipe, you'll love it because you're a fat bitch with no taste
How about shortbread?

we have a all the equiment (special steam cocker, the jars etc.) and all ingredients could be bought.

>picture related
>>9234081
I would just can the tomatoes as is then make the sauce when you open one
>>9234081
1. Quarter the tomatoes.
2. Cut out the fibrous core
3. Cook on low heat until skins start to fall off.
4. Grind the tomatoes, or run them through a processor.
5. Pour through a strainer to remove the skins and seeds
6. Slowly cook sauce to reduce the volume of water.
7. Pour in sanitized jars and bring up to heat seal.
Don't add anything until it's time to make the sauce.

What kind of sushi rolls would you recommend to someone who's never had sushi before
>Rolls
None of them
Get nigiri.
Salmon, tuna, mackeral are all good. Eel is particularly good.

Veggie sushi. Try it without the soy sauce or wasabi first. You are going to want more than one roll, you have been warned.
Adding cinamon to my regular coffee just doesn't do it. I love the kind of cinammon roll coffee they have.
