Overpriced caffeine. I used to drink one of these things every day to stay up through my night shift. Then I remembered caffeine pills exist and saved myself hundreds of dollars a year.

I drank water all day and made a laksa with string beans, broccoli and tofu for dinner of which I ate about 3 adult servings of. Also 12 Cooper's pale.

It was a bit brown on the bottom for my tastes, but overall it was delicious.

Good God eggs are such a great breakfast. I feel like I could line up for battle and get hit by a cannonball and it wouldn't even phase me.

For salt I can take it or leave it. For ground pepper though it's way better.

Salt is just a crystal, crush it before or after, it doesn't fucking matter.

Pepper is a spice, there's volatile organic compunds in there that will fuck off on you if you leave it sit in open air too long. Grind fresh, and that goes for every other spice you can get whole, for that matter.

For salt, it doesn't matter at all. Peppercorns, on the other hand, are much more pungent fresh-ground than pre-ground.

i was pleasantly surprised by how nicely this loaf rose, and how easy it was to shape. in the past i've had difficulty shaping the high hydration doughs i've worked with. i think the partial whole wheat flour helped firm it up and aided in the gluten development.
