I an cooking for my family this Thursday. I was thinking chicken parmesan, but I'm open to suggestions for something easy to make.
You could always make meatloaf and mashed potatoes.
Both are extremely to make and it's pretty damn hard to mess up on either as well.
Good luck and hope your family enjoys your cooking!

Thank you, that sounds good.

Easy and interesting.
How does /ck/ make their coffee?
Moka pot for me
>>9362111
You're having trouble arent you?
Very simply, load the water im sure you seen plenty of videos, use cold warm idgaf whatever you prefer. not above the valve.
Load your coffee in the filter, dont tamp it, just pile that shit high and smooth the excess out with a knife or anything flat. clean the edges.
it goes without saying make sure your moka pot is clean and dry, specially your coffee filter.
here is the most important bit of this whole thing. USE LOW HEAT THE TOTAL PROCESS FROM HEAT TO COFFEE EXTRACTION SHOULD BE AT A MINIMUM OF 12 MINUTES, 15 IS BETTER 12 IS GOOD.
If you get coffee faster than 12, its too fucking hot.

I make waifu-tier coffee from some degenerate coffee making machine and the hyper processed coffee packets it takes

Hey guys I work at Benihana. I've been a prep cook for about 6 months just started chef training. I'll answer any questions about Benihana or teppanyaki in general if i can
>>9361640
can you share the hot sauce recipe?
How good are your onion volcanoes?
Last time I went to Benihana the chef made me cluck like a chicken and then threw food at me.
Are pressure cookers a meme?
They give meat the same texture and consistency as flaked tuna.
Ruined my ribs!
A low and slow roast in the oven, or simmer in a crockpot,, is always better for tender meat IMO.
Plus terrorists love pressure cookers,
>>9361639
your life is a meme faggot
I don't use mine to cook meat since I prefer the long slow simmer for soups, stews and braises. I do use it to cook dried beans, stocks and for canning. It's a useful tool and indispensible for non-acidic canning.

>meme
Do you actually know what that word means?
I recently moved into a studio apartment that came with a small fridge and a kitchenette. What kind of meals should i make that won't break the bank and won't take up too much space?
also messiness in a factor as i do not have a dishwasher and i fucking hate doing dishes
>>9361531
You're just gonna have to get used to washing dishes friend. Even the neatest dishes will dirty your cutlery eventually. I was going to suggest casseroles and slow cooked recipes since those usually use only one or two pots or pans, but those are usually quite goopy foods. The advantages are ease of cooking, efficient use of space, low cost, and lots of flavor for little effort.
Invest in a dutch oven and search for one pot meals. Get a good assortment of spices. Dried pasta, canned or dried beans, and potatoes are cheap and versatile.
From that point, just get creative.
>>9361550
Yeah i was thinking of investing in a slow cooker.

ATLbro here. Pic related for Fellini's. Antico's is overrated.
North Mississippi
Slim pickings around these parts but there are a couple decent NY style places.

Grocery near my house is selling these salt pork packages for $5 a pop. From what I understand, this is just regular salt cured pork belly, yeah?
Can I just take one of these lil slabs and smoke it to make bacon? Would I have to soak in cold water to remove excess salt first?
Educate me bros.
I got you OP

>Can I just take one of these lil slabs and smoke it to make bacon?
Yes, pretty much.
If you cold smoke it, then you're basically making something similar to the bacon you buy in the store, and can fry it up the same way.
Hot smoke it, and you'll be cooking it in the process, but will still get a smoky flavor added to it when it's done.
Gonna be in Flushing in a few minutes, it's been ten years since I've been and I've heard it exploded with food places.
What can I grab that's cheap?
>>9361093
Everywhere. It's more packed there than 10 years ago. There's at least 20 different places to eat on every block. That is NOT an exaggeration.
