What are the ideal living conditions for chickens? My backyard is big enough for a decent size coop but its all concrete, would fake grass be sufficient for them?
>>2405150
Part of what's great about real grass is that they can peck food out of it or just eat it. I wouldn't want my girls to be doing any of that with fake grass.
>>2405150
are you retarded?
They definitely need actual dirt and grass as the majority of their roaming area. You say it is big enough, how large is the backyard?
I live in a place where the my two cats can go outside with other cats and with places with dirt to poop in, both my cats were found in the streets and i kept them, the first and older one intinctivelly goes outside to poop but the younger one keeps pooping on my plants because they have soft dirt, how can I make my younger cat to go outside to poop?
I have a litterbox but I prefer that my cats go outside to poop so i don't have to have that litterbox anymore, please give me advice.
Pic is not my cat.
>>2405055
When you notice the cat starting to go around your plants, place it outside.
>>2405059
I try, but most times I don't see it.
>>2405061
A big part of getting an animal to do what you want is to be consistent. It takes time and is not convenient, but if you really want it to stop pooping in your plants, you're gonna have to be persistent.
Also, spray it with water when it goes near your plants. That will deter it faster.
Let's have a capybara thread, it's one of my favorite animals. I really want to visit Brazil one day so I can see some of them close, friend of mine from a state called Mato Grosso do Sul commented his university has capybaras that enter their freaking classrooms. Sounds really cool.
Japan also really loves these things fors ome reason.
Here's some links I visit frequently:

Oh, and here's something really cool: On some of the spanish speaking south-american countries there's another type of Capybara called Lesser Capybara, which are much darker. Kinda just looks like they're super dirty.
Jackrabbit/Capybara/Guinea Piggu mutant hybrid.
look at this swimming capibara type doger
Ever get the impression there is some divine purpose to cetaceans, or that we humans are somehow more related to them than even primates? I just keep hearing stories on how (unless they were abused or kept in horrible conditions) whales and porpoises and dolphins will go out of their assisting and helping humans, and won't hurt or attack us despite the fact that different cetaceans will attack and even eat each other, but something about humans not only makes us off limits, but that we are something they are required to assist and protect.
They swim between our plane and the next at the same time.
>>2404963
Allow me to be the first to say that that's stupid and you're stupid OP.
>>2404964
But in all seriousness, you are mostly talking about dolphins. Cetaceans in general are very intelligent and can easily gauge threats, or lack thereof. Humans are a curiosity. Dolphins are curious and playful once you look past the rape and murder. Imagine that dolphins see porpoises as 'lesser', if not some sort of racism. They are similar enough that they know how they work and what bothers them. They are less likely to encounter humans in comparison. I also believe dolphins are capable of understanding when a human is trying to help them, so they are more likely to be passive about it than freak the fuck out.
Dolphins also have been well known to act aggressively towards humans, whether it's captivity or wild. Like dragging humans and pushing them underwater, because they want revenge or they're assholes.
>want a parakeet
>have carpet in your apartment
>worried it'll shit everywhere and ruin your carpet making your rent deposit disappear
would there be any way I would be able to let it out its cage and keeping the poop situation under control?
The shit isn't that bad. You can probably keep it to a designated area and cover the floor if you're that nervous.
Keep it's flight feathers clipped to prevent it from flying off to fuck nowhere and taking a shit on your bookshelf, make a designated area for letting the bird out.
Their poop is tiny and if the bird is healthy it's really simple to just pick up with a tissue without smearing at all. I never had trouble with my birds soiling anything outside of their cage that I couldn't fix right away.
Do like >>2404971 said and you will not miss any hidden poop.
I don't know what happened /an/ I was a cat person for 20 odd years but when I saw how intelligent and marvelous the border collie breed was I instantly fell in love with it's attitude, it's desire to work, it's unrivaled intelligence and unbeatable agility.
One day I'm going to get one and walk it for hours everyday until I get sick, die or bury it.
ITT: Breeds that changed you from cat to dog lovers.
PERFECTION

My gawd. It can't even stand on all 4's
>>2404872
I remember the first time I saw a border collie at crafts it blew me away the fact that 90% of the agility entrants had border collies and they all finished within five seconds of the lead dog, also a border collie.
Help me with me dog /an/
He's two years old and a Pyranese Australian Shepherd mix, for a few months now I've ran into an issue with him. He's developed a major hot spot on his arm. We've tried everything, a sleeve, a cone, a muzzle, and every time he just gets passed it and makes it worse, it's gotten to the point where he doesn't want to do anything but try and lick his hot spot, he won't even play in the backyard anymore. I don't know what to do, what should I do?
Have you tried going to a fucking vet?
>>2404799
Yes, they were the ones who recommended the muzzle
are you treating him for fleas and ticks?
Hry lets playa game. Reply to hatch the egg

Role
My cat died today
I feel sad
>>2404637
Now you can be dead inside like me
Life is a meaningless void of sorrow
Go get a kitty or cat from a shelter and give the kitty a lease on life!
>and heres a kitten hug for your sadness
>>2404637
I'm so sorry that happened to you, anon.. I don't know what I'd do if any of my cats ever died....
Do what the other anon said, go get another kitty from a shelter and pour your love into it, give it and yourself a reason to carry on.
Do you blow at your dog? Do you pet him backwards?
No, i'm not a dick.
Sometimes I make a big inhaling noise like I'm about to blow on him and he gets really mad and vocal
Sometimes I'm cuddling him and I make a big snoring sound in his ear
Sometimes when he yawns I put my finger on his tongue
Sometimes when he's sitting in front of me I gently touch the feathery hair in his ears to make them twitch
Sometimes when I make eggs, I don't give him one
I'm a monster
>>2404612
I do all of that to my cat including slapping his belly on the side when he's on my bed and at waist height.
It's a wonder he tolerates it all and doesn't maul me.
post them cute fucks
>>2404585
Can you keep them as pets in Japan or some other place?
>>2404647
Basically yes, but as usual for exotics they are completely unfit as pets for the vast majority of people.
for those who do not yet know this is the definitive ranking of dogs
beagles should be in "kill yourself" tier
>>2404489
You mean the boxer, pug, corgie and the hot dog
>>2404489
beagles are good dogs because they are presentable and nice
why do I find animal babies so damn cute but when it comes to humans I'm so disgusted?
Does anyone else feel this way?
>>2404313
>>2404313
Humans aren't fluffy.
>>2404313
It should trigger on when you have a baby human of your own.
