>want a parakeet
>have carpet in your apartment
>worried it'll shit everywhere and ruin your carpet making your rent deposit disappear
would there be any way I would be able to let it out its cage and keeping the poop situation under control?
>>
The shit isn't that bad. You can probably keep it to a designated area and cover the floor if you're that nervous.
>>
Keep it's flight feathers clipped to prevent it from flying off to fuck nowhere and taking a shit on your bookshelf, make a designated area for letting the bird out.
>>
Their poop is tiny and if the bird is healthy it's really simple to just pick up with a tissue without smearing at all. I never had trouble with my birds soiling anything outside of their cage that I couldn't fix right away.

Do like >>2404971 said and you will not miss any hidden poop.

thanks for the advice
>>
Even able to fly they will eventually have their same couple spots they will be sitting.
Everyone got favorite spots

I would be more worried about the noise. They're not really loud birds, but still.

My budgies have had their full flight feathers since their first molt, and they love to stay in or on top of their cage. Very rarely do they fly to the living room and perch on top of the curtain rod.

Mostly, they will stay where they sleep and where their food is.
