According to a VICE news article, science proves that you lucid dream more often if you have recently quit daily marijuana use. So hypothetically, you would lucid dream the most if you alternate between getting stoned and staying sober.

Personally, I think meditating every day would help alot.

By the 3rd day you should start dreaming I'd you dont do any drugs.

In my first lucid dream I thought "lets try something i wouldnt do in real life" and raped a chick.

Nothing happened for about 2 weeks after I got the lamp back home, but sure enough one night it started turning on by itself again. I've moved the lamp around the house, just to make sure it's not something else setting the sensor off (air vents, vibrations, etc). But I would always eventually come to find the lamp had turned on by itself. I live alone, so that rules out the possibility of someone else turning it on.

I eventually moved the lamp back into the living room, coming to terms with the fact that I can't do anything about it turning on by itself. I debated getting rid of it, but then I realized it's really the only connection left I have to Otto.

It's always sporadic - sometimes I go days without it turning on. Sometimes it turns on multiple times in a night. Sometimes it just comes on to its lowest setting and stays on. Other times it strobes between brightness levels and then turns off. I've slowly come to terms with the fact that it could very well be Otto letting me know he's still with me.

What does /x/ think? Has anyone ever had a similar experience? I never really believed in the paranormal before this - but I'm found comfort in the thought that my boy is still around.

I totally believe pets souls remain with us sometimes. Almost nine years ago I lost the first chihuahua I had, and mom, dad, and sis have either seen his shadow or heard him sniffing under the door. I have to say it only happens in the house we used to live in, which is now my parents' office. No other pets are there, so it can't be another dog. Don't get rid of that lamp, apparently, he still loves it

a few years back i was sitting out by where my cat was buried. she died a long time ago from leukemia, she was a really good natured cat all around

was just quietly meditating and i heard the tiniest little sounds on the ground, coming my way. the ground was covered with leaves and i could see the leaves compressing down as if tiny little cat feet were invisibly striding my way. i heard the faintest sound of that vibrating low purr that cats do when they are happy

another cat story from my friend's house last halloween. she had two black cats but the older one died and the younger one was depressed for a long time because he had no one to play with. that night we were all sitting out on the back porch, very dark except for the kitchen light streaming out from the window. my heart started beating quickly and my skin felt prickly as i was looking out at the backyard. i saw a black cat running in the shadows just beyond where the light from the kitchen fell.

i thought, oh it's just gandalf. but then i saw gandalf run by chasing the other cat. i realized the first cat i had seen had been slightly transparent, which i dismissed as a trick of vision until i saw gandalf run by. no doubt in my mind the shadow cat was gandalf's buddy

A pretty /x/tier movie that's kinda decent is The Vanishing on 7th Street. Some of the character's may frustrate you with their rationales, but overall the thematic elements of the movie are fairly well conveyed.

When I was 8, I told my mom all about how excited I was to see this one movie I had just seen a trailer for. It was the trailer for the movie Grown Ups, and I told her everything about it including the whole "chocolate wasted" joke and the one about Rob Schneider marrying his mother. I told her I'd seen it in the trailers at the beginning of the VHS movie we had rented. She then told me that she had no idea what movie I was talking about and that I had fallen asleep after the first trailer, which I think was either for Bolt, Inkheart, or Bedtime Stories. Grown Ups came out in 2010. This happened in 2007, and I have found no proof that a trailer had been released that early.

Alright m8 OP here, my favorite theory is probably the Pixar Theory, but that's just Cus I'm a disney-Fag. And for those that haven't heard about it, its a theory that connects all the Pixar Films in a Chronological order of sorts, putting them in the same Universe. Its rather long, but let's just say it starts with brave and ends with Monsters Inc.

Intro:

Way back in the 1960s. when Disney began buying up 24,000 acres of land quietly, legislators who knew what was up to gave Disney whatever he wanted. The man had a plan to turn 43 square miles of orange groves and homes into a money making machine for the state - so of course it was a good deal. He'd make the state piles of money and they'd give him anything he needed to pull it off. What he asked for was total autonomy; the right to have his own private government to run his park with. No outside interference. And this is what he got.

The Disneyland Park and the two towns of Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake Communities. The two "towns" have a permanent population of about 65 people - mostly all Disney executives and family. The towns, and Disneyland, are under the government of the Reedy Creek Improvement District. Reedy Creek's board are elected land owners; people who own land in one of the two 'towns'. Who are mostly all Disney executives and/or their families. See how nicely this works? Disney denies any connection to Reedy Creek. The reason they fib is because Florida Law requires municipal governments to conduct business in public. Just like any town or city. Disney doesn't want to have to conduct it's business out in public with the Great Unwashed. So to solve this little problem, Disney got permission long ago to make itself it's own government. Even though it's a private corporation. Disney runs all utilities in the Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake Communities, does all the planning and zoning, makes it's own building codes, has it's own building inspectors. They build their own schools, levy their own taxes. They even have permission to build their own nuclear power plant if they want, or their own international airport, or cemeteries! Reedy Creek "contracts" with Disney for an 880 member security force that patrols EPCOT, Magic Kingdom - all the shops, restaurants, roads. They wear blue uniforms and wear...</snip>

Any and all crimes are supposed to be reported and handled at once to the Actual Legal Florida Law Officers. And the kicker is when something goes wrong - and it does - Disney will refuse to cooperate or turn over witnesses, information or records because guess what?
