A Grunch is a Chupacabra-like monster in the folklore of Louisiana, especially around the New Orleans area. The creature is blamed for mutilated animal deaths and enjoys frightening people. Tales of the creatures date back to the founding years of the city of New Orleans. There have been actual sightings of the creatures and to this day many residents are said not to allow their pets outside after dark for fear of them falling prey to the beast.
Appearance: A 3-4ft tall, bipedal, black goat-like being, with horns, spines, or quills covering it's back, and glowing eyes.
Lore: Grunches are said to kill their victims by one puncture hole to the neck and then to subsequently drain the victim's blood. According to legend, anyone bit by a Devil Baby (more in a future blog), will transform into a Grunch at the full moon, similar to tales of Werewolves.
Powers: Grunches are believed to be intelligent, able to open doors and use tools. Grunches can also speak in a low growl, though they are best known for their screams which some claim resembles the cry of either a wolf, ape, or Banshee. In and around Metairie, LA, Grunches are believed to be able to walk through walls.

The Mad Gasser of Mattoon (also known as the "Anesthetic Prowler", Friz, the "Phantom Anesthetist", the "Mad Gasser of Roanoke", or simply the "Mad Gasser") was the name given to the person or people believed to be responsible for a series of apparent gas attacks that occurred in Botetourt County, Virginia, during the early 1930s, and in Mattoon, Illinois, during the mid-1940s.
Most contemporary descriptions of the Mad Gasser are based on the testimony of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Kearney of 1408 Marshall Avenue, the victims of the first Mattoon case to be reported by the media. They described the gasser as being a tall, thin man dressed in dark clothing and wearing a tight-fitting cap. Another report, made some weeks later, described the gasser as being a female dressed as a man.The Gasser had also been described as carrying a flit gun, an agricultural tool for spraying pesticide, which he purportedly used to expel the gas

Tokandia is a massive, koala-shaped lemur. While modern reports are few and far between, natives of Madagascar acknowledge this creature as real. The Tokandia is said to move on the ground via a series of bounds or leaps, but also jumps into trees, where it spends time too. Moreover, the face of the Tokandia is claimed by the locals not to be man-like, but its cries are allegedly very like those of humans. Dr Heuvelmans and other cryptozoologists have identified the Tokandia with Megaladapis, a form of prehistoric, giant lemur.

The Santer is a mysterious feline reported below the Mason-Dixon line. It is commonly seen in western North Carolina. It is rarely dangerous to mankind, but a frequent predator to livestock. The origin of this creature likely from tales of lumberjack in 19th and early 20th century.
It is said to have a long body covered with florescent hair, its head is large and bald with small eyes, it also has long legs and a tail, and has eight hard knots in its tail, which makes them look like a string of beads. It can swing this flail with plenty of power and skill—enough to knock out a cow or a hog with one slap. And obviously this tail can be effectively used in combat.
It lives mostly in wooded swamps in the neighborhood of small villages where cattle and hogs are kept. It is a remarkably fast animal, but is rarely seen. Its cry is a piercing, baby-like wail, that makes even dogs too scared to attack.
A calf has been known to have been killed by one of these varmints near Statesville, and it showed eight distinct bruises, seven on the body and one on the broken foreleg. The hair about each bruise was severely singed.

Has /x/ had any experiences with Vampires? I am convinced they exist, and I am so fucking spooked. Like, seriously.
I live in Scotland, small town in the middle of fucking nowhere called Huntly, pretty far from a main city like Aberdeen or larger towns like Inverurie. This town is full of mostly old people, some of these fuckers still call the hardware shop the 'Ironmongers' for christs sake.
Getting to the point: I think there's a vampire in this town. Thing is, this started when I saw some person walking through the woods on a blaringly sunny day with a hood up and a leather longcoat.
At first I think it's some fucking weirdo goth that just likes wearing leather, but I keep seeing this person around when I'm out, mostly at night. I've seen them always going up near an estate on the edge of town, which from what I remember, has a lot of old people in it. On top of that, this estate is literally across from the local Tesco (K-Mart or Target, in comparison to whatever you yanks have), which next to the Tesco is an old folks home, and a few houses down is a funeral parlour and a massive graveyard.
So, the fact I saw this person around there had me cautious, but I saw them again today in blazing sunlight and I'm convinced they're a fucking vampire. I cannot tell if it's a dude or a lass, the shape of their body is slim though, the coat makes me think female, but the way they walk is stiff and fast, their arms are always quite still. The sun shines bright from the clouds, and this person will stop for a moment and force their hood down, they wear proper leather gloves with this longcoat, which is always zipped up. I've never fully seen their face because they always keep their head down.
They're not albino, I saw a glimpse of what looks like light-brown hair, maybe ginger. But I'm still spooked, the location they stay around is too convienent, and no one would willingly go around in the sun in fucking leather.
I'm afraid, /x/, not sure what to do here.

We still talk about it sometimes. It was so freaky, and my heart was pounding so hard when I saw it, I could barely breathe. No idea what it was or why it could go through glass.

So when I was younger I decided to work for one of those part time staffing agencies while i transitioned out of the navy.
