i woke up at 5:30 this morning because my door was creaking (usually creaks when someone opens it) my room is usually lit up bc i have christmas lights on 24/7.
look over at door and see the handle is turned down as if someone is opening it.
sat there in fear as i watched it slowly go back to normal..

I was at Meijers the other day knowing about sketchers Mandela effect staring right at the t in the name. Wondering to myself if it always had a t in it. I seen this image on a Facebook group and thought it was a residual. Then I made a post about it on another group and people started telling me there wasn't ever a t in the name. Now I am really mind fucked. So I searched all over the Internet looking for the t on the shoe itself and logos and nothing zip zilch it's fucking gone. But it's spelled sketchers all over the Internet with the t but I can't find an official logo or shoe spelled that way. 4000 postings on eBay spelled it sketchers. What the fuck is going on?

For the better part of at least 5 years I have felt a pull towards a more spiritual path. Nothing religious or dogmatic, but of course I touch on these things for bits of truth. I have begun the practice of meditation and mindfulness and have no expectations as to where this will lead me.
But there is one quote that really stands out to me - "Before enlightenment - chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment - chop wood, carry water."
It makes me feel like even putting the idea of enlightenment on a pedestal is a bit of a joke. It's nothing to seek after, just a natural side effect of being mindful. You won't magically see new colors or have magic powers, you will simply be different, but you're still here in this world.

I keep having a dream based around the famous painting of Saturn Devouring His Son but I've NEVER had recurring dreams before. I keep dreaming that I'm in that black oily abyss. I recognize the environment and know what's about to happen, so I yell out to the darkness that I'm not Saturn's son. Most of the time when I have this dream he yells back that it doesn't matter - he's going after everyone's son now and he considers everyone his child. Then he picks me up and crushes my body like in the painting, and usually he actually eats my head before I wake up.
I've honestly started drinking before bed just so that I can just slip into sleep without having this dream. It's worked so far but I don't want to get fat or become an alcoholic. How the hell else can I prevent certain dreams, without devoting time and energy into crazy shit like lucid dreaming? I want to just prevent dreams, not control them.
Also "weird recurring dreams" general, I guess.

Ok, let's talk about this.
We all know the stereotype about the crazy old lady on the corner who is secretly a sorceress.
In my family, nearly all of us on one side are very psychically sensitive/ telepathic/ aware of the metaphysical. Some of us are religious with "gifts of the spirit", some are bipolar... I have not been diagnosed, but I certainly have tendencies.
My partner is one of the most spiritually aware people I know, and his sensitivity causes extreme depression at times.
My son is beginnimg puberty ( a very sensitive time). He has had a pretty chill growing up: lots of community and outdoors, good food and vitamins. He currently has straight As and no issues, yet I worry. He has the family tenden y to awareness and telepathy. We have raised him without religion, and taught him basic care for others and respect for balance.
What is the connection between bipolar/schizophrenia, etc and physic abilities? How to maintain balance during this sensitive time?

The best you can do now is what nay parent can do. Do not clamp too tightly. Draw lines but only when he crosses them. Be patient and let him do mistakes.
I guess general parenting advice is applicable here. No need for advice tailored to your gifts. You already have all the advice you can gain in that respect, and will continue to get that advice as you go along your merry way.

Well I have schizophrenia and I didn't have any symptoms until a day after I did a paranormal thing. I was completely fine, nothing wrong at all in the least, then suddenly I'm having severe hallucinations that sent me to the hospital. I went from 0 to 1000 in an instant.
Then after a while my hallucinations told me they were leaving and they really did. Gone just like that. Since then I've had off days with dissociation but I haven't had any hallucinations what so ever. But every night I feel like I'm being watched, and only when I sleep, it doesn't happen at any other time.
I don't know what's real and what's just in my head, take it as you will. At this point I'm just trying to live my life as best I can.
