So the devil has a few ploys to 'beat' God. Historically he wanted to stop the birth of Christ, which was actually relatively simple considering God had made quite a few promises and prophecies. If the devil can make it impossible for God's promises/prophecies to come true - then God is proven 'wrong', and God's very existence is essentially undermined - how can God be wrong?!
So the devil looked at the promises God had made - that the Messiah would be born a man of the blood of David, of the family of Solomon, but not of the accursed King Joachim. So basically all he has to do is corrupt these blood-lines with 'angelic' DNA; not exactly an EASY feat, but certainly a do-able one. So this is where we start to get the nephilim - human and angel hybrids; both a monument to the devil's desire to defile humanity, and also a ploy to defeat the Almighty.
Now comes God saying 'do not mix with outsiders' - likely not because race-mixing is inherently evil (although perhaps, there is stuff about how you should not mix different breeds of animals, or even different kinds of fabric) - it is likely to try to stop them breeding with the devils. Now the nephilim seem to be fairly common in those days, existing among the Moabites, the Philistines, the Canaanites and so on. There's a fair few references to them in Kings and Numbers, and they are seemingly in all the nations surrounding the Hebrews.
The devil actually does pretty well by getting Joachim cursed, which seemingly makes it impossible for the Messiah to be born of the line of Solomon (Joachim being a direct descendant). The devil probably thought he'd won at this point. This is of course over come by Joseph being of Solomon's family, yet due to adoption not of his blood. Mary on the other hand is of David's blood, but of a different son than Solomon.
... So why is the devil STILL taking humans, creating hybrids and having all those test-tube people? I'm thinking the devil's next ploy with the antichrist.

The wife of one of my uncles has a father that bought a farm a few months.
He said that while walking in the farm he saw a man riding a white horse, and when he tried to approach the man and the horse disappeared.
He then went back home and told his wife about it.
Then another day he went back to the farm and found a cup in a pile of dirt, when analyzing the cup he discovered that it was made of gold.
He asked to another farmer who used to own those lands? And the farmer told him that it was from an old family that was now dead, and that there were legends that they had buried a treasure in that land.
Well, the story came to my uncle and his wife, and they wanted to look for such treasure.
Searching for the treasure my uncles wife fell of a ravine and get badly injured.
Some days later my uncles wife had a nightmare with a man riding a white horse, the man told her to stop looking for the treasure or she or somebody in her family would die.
She wake up screaming and a big nail fell over his head.
I became interested in the history because of the man on the white horse.
It reminded me of one of the horsemen of the apocalypse.
Would you know any other legend with a man on a white horse?
