Due to recent Pokemon Go hype I decided to go through the pokemon games. Played Pokemon Yellow years ago, and now just finished Leaf Green.
Should I continue on as the games released, which would be:
>Crystal > Emerald > Platinum > BW > BW2 > X
Or should I play them as they got updated
>HGSS > ORAS > Platinum > BW > BW2 > X

Also if the trainer feels brave, it can run hp ice for the genies

Is it just me or has Niantic made pokemon in pokemon Go much harder to catch?
Everything seems to pop out of the ball more, they jump more often, and they seem to swat the ball away more than they used to.

I think that happens the higher level you get. I have a hard time catching 100cp pidgeys with razz berry and great ball. Most of the time they even run away.

My brother seemed to complain about the same. Being at level 12, I just assumed being on a higher level meant harder pokemon to catch, but he was at around 6/7, which quite frankly, didn't seem all that hard back then when I was previously that level.
Anybody wanna name this fucker? Trips can decide.
Breeding for a VGC grade Crobat but I'm still in the process of getting the right nature and all that.

Well, /vp/, we know nothing about Sun and Moon. We don't know which shitmons the first 3 trainers have. We don't know what trainers lurk just off screen so we're trapped in battles. There's just so much information we won't know coming in because we've never played them before.
So, who's doing a Nuzlocke on their first run through?

I got version 0.0.7. I don't know if the newer ones are better but it works well. Its kind of like your private PokeVision but youre limited to a radius and you need to put in coordinates if youre in a specific place EG: GPS spoofing.

>HG team of Graveler, Gligar, Donphan, Quagsire, Dewgong, and Kadabra
>4 fucking slow as shit ground types and two water types
>make it to Lance somehow only losing Graveler who had to self destruct in order to kill fucking umbreon
>Everyone is mid/low hp
>Quagsire tanks shit like a boss, dumpsters everyone but those damn Dragonites
>Gligar dies taking a fatal blow for quagsire after i run out of potions
>Donphan gets OHKO'd by blizzard
>dewgong kills one dragonite, then gets fucking outrage crit right after
>only kadabra left, quagsire couldn't tank anymore
>begin to lose hope as kadabra won't be able to tank anything, even with mostly max hp
>outrage hits
>2 hp left
>kadabra psychic disposes of outrage dragonite

The only successful nuzlocke I've ever done was a run of Black, most times I wipe or get bored.
But I remember making it all the way to Ghetsis and having the best fight I've ever had in a pokemon game. Highlights include
>Mauler the Druddigon beating his Seismitoad to death
>Momo the Alomomola sacrificing herself to give me time to heal Mofo the Scrafty
>Mofo somehow surviving a Hydreigon Focus Blast with the tiniest sliver of health after the first one missed and dealing the finishing blow
I went in with a team of six and walked out with only Mofo and Misery the Cofagrigus as survivors.
