There is only one thing I'd like above everything else - an experience point blocking item. The Everstone only stops evolution but doesn't block experience points from leveling up said pokemon.

If you battle at levels 25 or 50 instead of 100, you might want to use the pokemon in game without it leveling up and no longer useful for it.

Hey anons, I always enjoy seeing what people come up with for hypotheticals like this. So lets play "the magic genie grants you a wish, BUT" game.

Lets say you are transported to the pokemon world to start a fresh new life as a young trainer on their journey. You can catch pokemon, challenge the league, do contests, fap to pokegirls who only think of you as just a friend, all the stuff you'd want to do, BUT you can only train and use pokemon of one type. Maybe its for practicality, its easier to train/feed/care for one type exclusively, maybe other types just don't like you, however you need to imagine it. On the plus side, as part of the genie's deal you turn out to be exceptionally skilled at using that type, easily future gym leader potential or even better.

What would your starting pokemon be? The genie grants you any non legendary pokemon of your chosen type as an option, at its first evolutionary stage where applicable.

What region would you want to begin your journey?

What would your perfect team end up looking like? Legendaries ARE a possibility here, but not necessarily the best choice. They would attract a lot of attention good and bad and aren't unbeatable.

What would you do with your new life? Running a gym is an obvious option, as would going for a place in the E4, but stop to consider other things; perhaps a ground type trainer would make a good archaeologist, using your team to excavate ruins? Could your flying types run a successful delivery business? Maybe your band of dragons guards the secret places of the world, protecting legendary pokemon from those that would misuse their power.

And yes, who would you waifu.

I'll probably be a Rock type trainer since it's one of my favorite types
I'll start with a Aron in Sinnoh or Kalos, so I'll be able to get all fossilmon and ask advice to the rock type gym leader

The starter leaks are real.
BEAUTY and EXPANSION will be in both games. However, they will be encountered at different parts of the story depending on the version, and will be technically version exclusive since they will have a different number. UB-04 will be whichever UB wasn’t already UB-02.
Minior evolves into Galaximum if levelled up while holding a Float Stone - same typing, same ability.
Megas are (obviously) still in the games, and you can even find Mega Stones during the main story. However, you don’t receive a Key Stone until you show Dexio and Sina a completely filled Zygarde Cube, which requires visiting all 4 islands. Also, there are no new Megas.
Poke Ride Pokémon that can Mega Evolve can be used to access hidden areas to find their specific mega stone(s).
There are actually no version exclusives this time around, however the available Pokémon will now change drastically depending on the time of day, with some Pokémon not even showing up unless it is a specific hour in the day, keeping it difficult to catch them all with just one version.
The penalties for altering the 3DS clock will be much more severe this time around. This time, the previous in-game time before altering the clock will be locked in for a few days, and all time-based events will be inaccessible as well.
