Okay now its nice and all that yall are getting hyped up for Sun and Moon after the last announcement a few days ago but we still have 3 major things to confirm:
1. Is there an easy and fast way to level up to 100? That Hyper Training requirement will be bunk without some form of doing such a mindless task like in ORAS with Blissey Bases. Also we need to know how quick the leveling up animation is.
2. An easy way to hatch. I don't see any long roads that are feasible on any island.
3. If singles random online wifi is still 3v3 and no 6v6 options.
I dont know if Join Avenue 2 aka Fedtival Plaza addresses the first 2 concerns but I just wanna settle ourselves down on terra firma because I remember when X and Y did a similar blitz of new feature reveals to blind us with hype.

XY and ORAS may have sucked, but let's be honest: Gen 6 was excellent otherwise. The anime was quite good, TCG is pretty much at its best, great merchandise like Nendoroid Red and other game-based figures were previously unprecedented, plus some pretty interesting developments in the lore. Not to mention we haven't had such good spin-offs since Gen 3.
In general, the fanbase has also grown in size and strength. Yes, 2015 was death to go through, but the whole Z blue-balling was for the best, frankly. I'm really excited for November.

I understand the confusion. After all, the ratio is 87.5% male, 12.5% female.
But that ratio was never meant to represent how masculine or feminine the Pokémon would be. That ratio was meant to keep the starters rare and difficult to breed.
Feminine starters aren't new. Chikorita was the very first feminine starter. With its necklace, leafy ponytail, and suffix "ita" in its name, Chikorita leans towards the feminine side. Its final evolution is soft in appearance with a big pink flower adorning its neck.
If Game Freak designs starters with a more feminine approach, it's probably because they want to mix it up with a bit, make their pool of starters more diverse. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Personally I think Brionne is an adorable Pokémon and it doesn't bother me at all that it could be male. Why should it? I've seen female Machamp, male Bellossom, male Gothitelle, female Conkeldurr, and the list goes on. We should know by now that gender doesn't mean much in Pokémon games. Its only real purpose is for breeding.
