How good is this thing?
Are you using a wired connection or 5GHz router? It's pretty good, although the video quality is noticeably worse from playing native on PC.
Are you using a 2.4Ghz router? Don't bother.

Listen to this anon. The wifi isn't great at all unless your tv is literally by the router.
Also if you wanna play anything remotely new that's AAA,I hope you have a good pc. This thing isn't for toasters imo. Other than that it's great. I swap between it and my PS4 with ease and vidya on the couch no problem. It's constantly being updated too which is nice, my biggest worry when I got it was that it was gonna be shovelware, but they've managed to not forget about it.

>Action games peaked over a decade ago and never got better than this.
Why is this allowed?
they don't sell
Because nobody wants lame action tripe anymore............................ we're gamers, we want crafted worlds and genuine stories.
and the rest of the genres peaked in late 90s
you can't escape this
One tower and two shrines in, I'm NOT supposed to be having lots of fun yet, right? Cause, it's kind of boring so far. Is this one of those it gets good after X hours type game? And I played FF13, so I know about those type of games. Also, I was told this game is different from all the other open world memeing going on. I'm not yet seeing that.
Actual BotW discussion thread for late comers and not just about how fuckable Link's boipussy is. Contain yourselves, you homos.
Huh how about you play the game and try to do different things and see the result, this is not some go here do this game, it's the opposite of that.

You picked the wrong picture anon
and people have their own taste, you may not like it. I enjoyed the very start of the game, so I think you will not like it forever
PSA: If you prefer old video games over new ones, then you're then cancer killing the industry.
Yes you read that right. Other than books and movies, two mediums which have been set in the fundamental way they are made for quite some time now, videogames are still finding their way and progress further with every generation on how they are made due to fundamental technological advancements. Videogames haven't reached their point of adulthood yet.
Videogames of the 90's and 00 years were basically blueprints for whats to come. They are shitty b-movies from the 80's. Made out of compromises due to the lack of proper technique, tools, and funds that cut imagination and creative vision on all ends. Those movies are only liked by nostalgia and "trash" fans. If you like those games, then you like trash.
This is why the actual creators of videogames never look back and always move forward with new games. You may not "like" the direction, but it is the direction thats needed creatively.
Every new videogame is better than the last one that came out. For the future is for the games.

I want it for the Vita. Does it run well?
>make a screen transition
>if you dont jump immediately, you fall to your death
Sure is fun.
-Dunno why wounding is a mechanic
-Dunno why fatigue is a mechanic
-7 different creeds that affect just too much of gameplay is a bit weird, specially since most of it is not really explained that well
-Wish there was a respec option
-Wish there was a map, too
-Incantation/Prayer list and item list should be different
-Starting treasures are just as imbalanced as DS1's
-There should be some way to revert offerings to altars
These are my thoughts so far, at least
Is it possible to make a compelling RPG-style game with no leveling and purely horizontal progression? Do RPG fans play enough for the story, character/party customization, and adventure to not feel empty without star progression?

How does it feel to know that the new Attack on Titan game will NEVER EVER get localized? Does it make you suicidal?
I could not give less of a shit about a game adaption of an anime I'll never watch.

Who cares, they're shit games anyway.
>"That's likely more Metroidvania-style games, or as he calls them, tansaku (exploration) games."
https://www.polygon.com/2014/3/19/5523676/koji-igarashi-interview-castlevania-konami-and-going-independent
Can we get the term "Tansaku" going as a genre"? Iga-vania is too tied to Iga. Metroid-vania is over used. Tansaku is pretty solid.

shut the fuck up weeb
>>377289854
how bout platform exploration genre? both metroid and sotn were insoired by zelda, after all
>>377289854
Metroidvania is already he accepted term, and normies think exploration can only happen in open world games.
