I get stressed out by multiplayer games.

How Good / Bad can it be

>Netflix
Pretty bad.
The only remotely good show was Stranger Things, and I only say that because I'm a huge nostalgiafag. If I weren't, I'd probably not even look in the direction of that show.
>>377292045
It's going to have a low budget and from a company with a history for social justice.
How the fuck do you think it's going to be?
>>377292045
>Netflix
Fuck that shit.
>the cut content wasn't on purpose
you can't possibly be this retarded, can you, /v/? The game's called The Phantom Pain.
>i-it's shit on purpose
>>376898782
nigga the whole game is about being a phantom pain my man it's not exactly subtle and that makes it good
>>376898782
He's right though.
If the whole Sally and Eli sub-plot was so important, then why wasn't it tied up in a casette tape? Because the theme of MGSV is all about losing shit.
Your arm
Your men
Your Metal Gear
Your Waifu
Even your identity and past
The point of MGSV's story is that revenge doesn't give you back stuff you've lost. In fact stuff will most likely only get worse.
Why does he love Sony so much?
>>376898629
Cause Sony always wins baby.
Sony likes cinematic garbage, Kojima is a hack who can't make anything but cinematic garbage that rips off 80's action and scifi films.
It's a match made in heaven.
Because he's a wannabe movie director and he fits in perfectly with Sony's """cinematic experiences"""

NEW GAME
WHAT ABOUT NEWER GAME
NENECCHI A SHIT
i like old game better
Is it just me who can't bring themselves to enjoy games where levelling up is required to actually stand a chance?
I can't play games like Diablo or Disgaea, because while playing, I always get to a point where I know for a fact that I am playing well and making the right choices in combat, but because I didn't kill some arbitrary amount of monsters to make the numbers next to my stats bigger, I'm not allowed to progress.
I just don't see the appeal of a system like this. If you want to make a game where a character gets stronger constantly, why not do what most games like that do, and slowly introduce new abilities, or powerups at key points in the story? That way, you can tailor the game to always be fair, instead of either being hard to the point of being impossible, or easy to the point of having no risk of death, merely because of the numbers next to your characters stats.
The gameplay in these games isn't skill based in the slightest because of this. It's entirely focused around how much you played, and not how well you played. I think it's silly. Even games like Warframe have this issue, where enemies a few levels higher just insta kill you and take no damage from your attacks.
At least in Dark Souls you can beat the game just fine at level 1, because skill actually matters.
Diablo was originally a turned based game. Mechanical skills were literally not thought of during its development.
Additionally leveling is a form of static progression. It's something that happens at a fairly consistent rate. This is to offset the random progression of items and perma shrines. Both systems reward clearing all monsters on each level and exploring all rooms.
Sounds like you need to stop playing RPGs.
The whole point of an RPG is that you're as strong as your character.
>>376899124
...what the fuck does that even mean?
How the fuck is that different from literally any other game in existence?
>Which Yeul are you talking about? I've known and protected hundreds of Yeuls. Though they had the same soul, every one of them was unique! A Yeul who dreamed of travel! A Yeul who loved to sing! A Yeul who collected flowers. They all died. All of them before my eyes!
When did you first realize he was both the best and most sympathetic Final Fantasy villain?
He just wanted to save his girlfriend from being murdered for all eternity.

Finally someone else agrees.
That scene at the end when they are fighting and Caius says all that was amazing.
The dude, for hundred of years, had to watch a little girl, that barely gets to live, die all the time, before the age of 15. She has to die hundreds of times, and he had to watch them all.
I don't blame Caius for wanting to end that cruel cycle.
>best FF villain
I don't see any villains here

>Shit design
>Hypocrit
>He can only kick your ass in cutscene
Nah. Robot Pope was better.
So now that the dust has settled, can we all admit that The Surge is objectively better than Dark Souls 2?
The combat is OKAY I guess but this game is just so fucking boring to me. It has no story, no atmosphere, emotion and every enviroment looks the same. The audio logs sound like they were done for free by some amateurs. Armor is pointless, leveling up is pointless.
Basically there's no motivation to keep playing. There's no mystery, no reward.

Why do people love this series so much?
Is this VN, right?
What's so special?
Thinking back to your childhood, what was your personal first major, heartrending gaming disappointment?
Fuck I don't remember, we were poorfags so I forced myself to enjoy whatever games we had.
I seem to recall Excalibur 2555 AD on the PS1 being the first game I dropped after 15 minutes as it was so blisteringly awful, and I was a bit hype when someone brought it home as Excalibur makes me think of some sick swordfighting and shit.

I've played Baldur's Gate and found it tiresome. Play Wild Arms and tell me what it's like.
