Didn't like that player upgrades were locked behind hidden collectibles, but at the same time, the upgrades were barely noticeable so I guess it balances out.
It was alright. Game completely falls apart by the end with a sort of horde survival mode where you kill a lot of Nazis but since the game is made around stealth, you can't shoot for shit.

Played it and liked it.
Last two stages are shit though because its forced combat.
The slow decent into madness I really like.
How she starts with quick deaths but after seeing all the shit she saw she starts to think about killing herself and finally by the end she is mutilating and stabbing the shit out of people.

We've seen all there is to see about the genre, 8 years ago. Even if it would be the best zombie game ever, it would still be the same shit you've already seen a hundred times, only done better. I think Dying Light is the current zombiebowl champion.

Exckusive games are 99% of the time a lot higher in quality. Publishers have to give it their all to get the must have games to buy said paltform that it's available on.
See, recent example: Multiplats shown at E3 this year vs the exclusives.
With that being said, if there is no hardware competition, devs/publisher might focus solely on the games. But i don't know. It doesn't seem to be the case with multiplats.

Bad in general since anti consumer and blah blah blah repeated drivel about that.
But there is an upside since sometimes shit that would not otherwise exist get made. Like bayonetta 2 for instance. And separated though similar ecosystems of vidya adds another level of competition when it comes to vidya making. So it can and does lead to shit existing that would not otherwise exist to entice people to buy the console it is on simply to play the game.


So it is got both good and bad points that could be argued but sadly i would say that over all it is better though admittedly yes a bit anti consumer. Since without console exclusives that would mean that some of the neato shit we got today would not exist. but at the expense of needing to spend more money on individual consoles.


Shit sucks but its got its upsides.

I've played every Resident Evil game save for Gaiden and Gun Survivor 2.

I dislike Resident Evil 7 various reasons. Lack of creature variety, reliance on cheap scripted scares that take control away from the player, the removal of the serie's more arcade-y elements in the name of being more gritty and cinematic, and it being super inconsistent from both a gameplay and tonal perspective. The story is also terrible even by RE standards, but I don't play these games for the narrative anyway.

Not the worst, and a breath of fresh air after 6, but anyone who puts in their top 5 RE titles is a mouthbreather.
