Alright /tg/, my group of friends is completely unable to find the time or willingness to play a TTRPG. I have just one of them who's interested in playing and would like to join one.
Is there a single game being run in the Memphis (TN) area that's willing to take on party members for a campaign? We're willing to learn any system, but we have a digital copy of every GURPS rulebook already and are more than willing to share these. We really like GURPS because it provides the most variety for a game, but that's beside the point.
Alternatively, if anyone knows where we could go, online or not, to find games or people willing to be DM/Players/Whatever, that would be helpful as well.

Aren't creatures with exoskeletons just bugs?
I'm going to be playing with some friends that live out of town over discord, and a couple of them asked me about the option of using voice changers to do unique character voices better (cause apparently I'm shit at making them unique). Anyone know how to go about sounding like an older person? A elven woman? An orc?

>A elven woman?
Way to work that one in there on the sly.
Lol you got me :P
(For real though one of my players is trans and is not at all tech savvy so this is partially for her too)

>You've been commissioned to plan the creation of a traditional game museum
well, the lack of replies certainly indicate something
>>53824045
Who commissioned it? What's my budget? Is there a twist?
It's not a bad subject for an exhibit, really - traditional games have been around for a little over a century now.
But a whole museum? Even if I went out and tracked down every traditional game I could, I doubt many people would be interested in going on the deck of many card games, or the boardwalk of board games.
I've been considering for a long time using the thirty silver coins given to Judas as payment for outing Jesus to the romans as a plot point, and id like some other smaller biblical items and such to flesh out parts of this campaign without throwing in really trite and overused things like the spear and the nails from the cross.

Like straight biblical or just Christian focused in general? Because there's a ton of Saints Relics that work for this.
>>53821783
pretty much just looking for biblical in general, especially objects and locations.

Look for the thousands of fragments of the Holy Cross around the world.

I just want to make a giant art dump with some of my favourite sources of inspiration - Barlowe, Kubin, Giger, Beksinski, etcetera. May it serve you well, /tg/. Also feel free to contribute if you have any art of similar themes.

Hey, I'm looking for character art that is a mix of ancient and modern themes, like Garand Gladiator here.
Modern/fantasy works, too.

Hello /tg/
im trying to write a homebrew specifically designed to work on a play-by-post platform. Ideally i intend to not use RNGs in it as im a bit paranoid these might be cheated.
So far the idea i have is that characters have the standard fare of skills + attributes to perform actions, but they also can call on a renewable source of points to add to their rolls or other effects.
What are your opinions?

But lelf is actually a pretty funny /tg/ meme.
What's the most fun fantasy character you've played?
Our group got a bit tired of serious roleplaying and we're about to start a joke dnd campaign.
We've done it before, and it led to many memorable moments such as the party's 400 year old undead cleric smashing a goblin guard's head with a blessed stone from forty meters away; or that time when Morgan Magister, the party's wizard, tried to trick some goblins into thinking he was casting some grand spell with fireworks and the only one to believe it was my paladin, who threw himself to the ground and was beaten by the goblins.
I'm curious to hear about your characters to get some inspiration. I'm thinking about a french vampire who only drinks gourmet blood.

>What's the most fun fantasy character you've played?
An actual serious roleplaying character, because I play with a bunch of fucking memelords and have only had one group in the past decade where this wasn't the case.

Rance but without rape.

A strongfat Not!Scottish monk who traveled around playing the lute for his dinner and offering simple countryfolk wisdom to any who asks. Looked like a fat old man initially, but actually was built like a shitbrick house under his dirty robes and strong as an ox. Just a simple guy who wanted to see the world who got caught up in an epic quest to save the world mostly by accident.
How do I make a 40k/ John Wick story, and how would you start it?
I think it might be a case of an assassin realizing he has personal ties to to the target, and the inquisition trying to both help and hinder.
How would you do it /tg/
>>53817098
This is some "love can bloom" shit, its disgusting
Well no, I was thinking family ties, not "love can bloom."
But carry on shit posting.
I wouldn't do it.
What would be the three most important things to know if you were being sent to Medieval Times?
Crop rotation, germ theory and antibiotics maybe?

How to not ever be noticed by anyone so they can't boss you around, yell at you for not worshiping god enough, or catch you stealing food
Synthesizing drugs and growing "medicinal" plants to stave off the omnipresent depression of the era
Effective suicide methods
>>53816215
Latin, Your jesus, and either crop rotation if you want to try and get the post black plague population boom to happen early, germ theory and general medicine if you want to make the black plague hit the rest of europe like it hit poland, or metallurgy and/or gunsimithing if you want to remove kebab
I don't see how this applies to /tg/ but okay. I would suggest definitely medicine by far with herb gathering and being aware of the types of plants you are picking from. Knowing how to make rope (You have no idea how effective this is), and knowing an effective route to Warsaw to avoid the black plague (lol good luck with that)
