Some art for Seraphina!
Hey /tg/, I need some location art of coastal towns, cities, and villages. It doesn't really matter what style they're in, (Eastern, Western, Norse, Caribbean, etc,) as long as they're on the coast. Thanks!
>>53839309
>>53839502
>>53839525
>bigger, tougher and stronger than a human
>bring own ecosystem and industry with them, solving all logistical problems
>fastest multiplying race after tyranids
>bred specifically for war
>thrive on war in a universe full of it
>consistently BTFO by forces way smaller than them
Why is this? Orks constantly lose to even Guardsmen while outnumbering them hundreds of times over, and I'm pretty sure they're the only race to lose to an outnumbered tyranid army. If Orks were made for war, why are they so shit at it?
>>53838762
Their enemies will occasionally deploy barbed wire.
>>53838762
Because they were engineered for a specific type of war that they lost considering Necrons are still around.
>>53838762
Because they're designed for a war in which they had allies, so were supposedly filling a niche of war while other vital areas were being covered by the Slaan, the Eldar and the Hrud. Not to mention they're pretty decent at war biologically, all things considered, absolutely nobody but Tyranids could build up a military force from complete scratch like they could, it's just everyone else already has their military network set up.
Am I a bad DM if I want to design the final BBEG encounter as <100% winrate even with all player moves mechanically sound? Is it okay to label such game as horror? Would you enjoy it?
if there's one thing I've learned its that no encounter is a guaranteed win when dealing with players and especially not when players are dealing with real enemies.
>BBEG
Ugh.
You're a bad DM for using "BBEG".

Waifu Wars you say?
How would you go about building a setting for a superhero campaign? Specifically where superhero-ing is a very recent phenomenon?
>>53838505
Police actually try to enforce laws against vigilantism.
>>53838505
Look into terrorist organizations, now replace them with superheroes.
>>53838505
Start with your favorite era. I drafted a campaign (unfortunately DOA) based on the Golden Age, with the US just entering WWII. Some heroes are sent over for special ops while others are screened out specifically to defend the homefront.
There are powerful players both for and against the "mystery men" that have sprung up in the last decade or so, and the media, namely radio and newspaper, would play a major part in both agendas. The man on the street is generally in favor of the heroes with a vocal minority fearing them as subversives, freaks or signs of the end days.
Join us in /tg/ fighting tournament, where we create characters and put them into simulation to fight each other! Character can be anything /tg/-related: someone from existing IP, someone from real life, someone from /tg/'s culture or even someone you've played in a tabletop. Pic related is an example of fight from the last thread.
Here is a link to the first tournament >>53747367. People asked for another one and here we are.
Today we will fight in 3vs3 format. We need minimum of 12 fighters to start a tournament. When we will have a full roster, teams will be randomized. If you want to put your characters into one team, just note so by putting "Team: *team's name*" into each character sheet.
You can also contribute by posting images for fighting arenas.
I will post rules and some unused characters next.

How would the economy look like?
>>53837708
Is there a mainland nearby?
Probably mostly fishing and light seasonal agriculture or forestry. It really depends on what the climate is like and what they can trade with their neighbors.
Ok, that really depends.
What sort of climate do they have? What are the growing seasons? Is it marshy? What sort of mineral wealthy is around? What kind of neighbors do they have? Where are they geographically in relation to other powers.
You have given us not nearly enough information to even begin postulating.
Depends on the size of the kingdom. A large one may be based on feudal agriculture, while a small nation could become rich through maritime trading
How do the different fantasy races wipe their asses in your settings /tg/?
For me it's
>humans: leafs and pulp
>dwarfs: a smooth rock
>good elves: spices and scented water
>dark elves: slaves' tongues
>orcs: don't
What about you?
>>53837601
I don't think about it, and I hope my players don't, either.
I don't know, OP, I think you've pretty much covered the gamut.

Why are you even worrying about this?

For those who don't know, Ixalan is the next mainline set after Hour of Devestation, and will be the first set of the Ixalan block. The Ixalan block will additionally be the last block in the Two-Block Paradigm, which will then be abandoned for the Three-and-One Model which will doesn't follow any standard block formula and where all sets will be large sets, starting with the set Dominaria.
If the (many) leaked cards are correct, then the mechanics for Ixalan include, but are not limited to:
Treasure tokens. They're colorless Treasure artifact tokens with "T, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool." Basically an updated version of the tokens named Gold from Theros block.
A keyword action called Explores. It appears to be used only on creatures, and has the reminder text (Reveal the top card of your library. Put that card into your hand if it's a land. Otherwise, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature, then put the card back on top or into your graveyard.)
Dinosaur, Vampires, and Pirate tribal (Dinosaur is a returning creature type that was previously made obsolote by the Grand Creature Type Update).
The ability word Raid, a returning mechanic last seen in Khans of Tarkir. Raid benefited you if you attacked with a creature this turn.
An ability word called Tough. Tough seems to be a triggered ability that triggers whenever damage is dealt to a creature with the Tough ability word.
Story-wise, the set will focus on a sort of pirates vs. aztecs theme. The aztecs appear to be mostly Naya-focused, with an emphasis on big, stompy Dinosaurs, and the Pirates appear to by Grixis-focused with an emphasis on "stealing" cards from your opponents. Additionally, the planeswalker Vraska makes another appearance. Last seen in the Return to Ravnica block, Vraska was a BG Gorgon planeswalker with an emphasis on death, which included both creature destruction, and an alternate-loss mechanic to be used on your opponents.
Welp.
Name is shit, flavor text probably is too. Wanted to kinda portray the idea that this guy looked for treasure, and that got him killed, but even in death he still looks for treasure.

In a future sci-fi space mall where everyone has a 3D printer at home that can make anything smaller than a desk off of internet-accessible free blueprints and anything larger than that can be brought to you via drone, what would people do? What shops would there be?
>>53836699
Obviously shops that sell 3D printers and desks
>>53836699
Shops that have the blueprints copyrighted, cuisine restaurants, fashion&beauty parlors, maintenance for their printers and printed devices.
>>53836699
Is there a reason why the entire mall can't be in VR?
Also, do you intend to use this premise in a TRADITIONAL GAME? If you don't specify that you do, then this thread is off topic.

Actually, letting them surpass their limits with power of LOVE would be amazing and awesome. We need more cheesy perks like that.
>>53836647
>This is pretty much what I had down before I decided to make it a normal 600cp
Late to the party, but I'd respect a 1000cp harem perk that wasn't so intrusive and gave a boost to the harem instead of just a straight up plain old harem perk. We have a lot of those already, they're basically all the same, and I feel like it'd be more appropriate anyway for it to be a legitimately useful ability on top of being a harem perk. I don't know, you do what you want to do, but know that I support it.
>>53836647
game skill called 'Item Upgrade' which is one of a kind in this new world. It allows him to upgrade items, i.e. +1, +2, +3 etc, improving the item stats & abilities, furthermore he is the only one able to view the item stats while others can only feel that the item got stronger.
So im homebrewing a system and i just want to know the benefits of a rolling dice under your stat versus adding the dice roll to the stat.
>>53836664
This is a thinly viewed D100 vs D20 system thread, isn't it.
>>53836664
Rolling under means you have to do less maths, to begin with.
>>53836727
I was thinking in terms of dice pools. The dicepools are very small and use D10s for now (between 2- 5) . But that can easily change.
