Because gnoll-threads on their own tend to die off pretty quickly, and because lupins and, heck with it, kitsune deserve a chance to shine.
How would you see about incorporating these races in your campaigns? Would you ever make them playable, or would you keep them monsters only?
Also, does anyone have the black & white "Mystaran era" lupin artwork that showed up in the sidebar in Dragon Magazine #325?
Personally, I quite liked the "faux-French swashbucklers" take on civilized Lupins, as presented in Dragon Magazine #325, although I wouldn't say I hated the dire wolf-riding tribals that were the "core" of the race.
As for gnolls... my favorite fluff for them is, hand's down, the Nentir Vale version, which really gave them potential as both bad guys and potential PCs.
I love the idea of a necromancy-backed gnoll empire out there in the desert somewhere that's not evil, but certainly not all sweetness and light. Or gnollish mercenaries who can and do win respect, however grudgingly, for their ferocity, teamwork and loyalty.
Speaking of gnolls... having read the Bastards & Bloodlines take on half-gnolls, I just gotta know: am I the only one who thinks that if your racial fluff declares that you have "none of the savage yet noble bearing of the half-orc", you got a raw deal?
Any good /tg/-related movies that you elegan/t g/entlemen can recommend for a Friday night?
Is John Wick 2 any good or a repeat of the first one?

You make it sound like its a bad thing, its the same as the first one but better, everything's bigger, the action is better and it never stops.
Awesome movie, easily the best action movies in the past decade.

Given how the last one ended, I'm guessing this one has to do more with Magnus and Russ.
Is it cooler in your opinion if mimics can essentially shape shift to copy the appearance of any object of appropriate size, so for example a mimic could be a chest, an end-table, a small plinth or a barrel at its own discretion or do you prefer your mimics to have one immutable 'disguised' form, for example a chest mimic can never be anything but a chest?
I prefer my mimics to be inanimate object shapeshifters (in limits based on size) but my friend swears blind that mimics shouldn't be able to do that and that it makes them OP somehow.
The question only came up because one of my players wanted a tiny mimic as a familiar capable of shifting into most kinds of inanimate, nonmagical object within a few lbs with certain restrictions and I thought it was a pretty slick idea.

Games Workshop has put you in charge of deciding the next wave of Made To Order minis. They will be available for one week and take two months to cast and ship.
1) You must do good for the company. Either choose things that will sell very well or things that will make people go down the slippery slope of buying a new set of minis to go with it.
2) Models must still belong to Games Workshop, miniatures prior to 1993 might not still be in their rights to manufacture, particularly Chaos ones.
3) Minis can be mixed and matched from any Games Workshop licenses including specialist games, Fantasy, 40k, Lord Of The Rings, and Blood Bowl. You must pick a total of 8 solo minis and three different boxed sets of units.
Wut choose?
Fuck made to order, just bring back the Diaz Daemonettes and keep them back.

I'd rather a plastic reproduction. Hell, I'd rather a complete redesign to the shite we have now.

Thread Question
How do you feel about these Jacetice League hate cards? Do you think they'll see play?
>>53834961
I can see the blue one and white one seeing play, but with different applications.
The blue one seems like the answer to unbanning JTMS in modern, whereas the white one is a splashable silverbullet to answer giddeon in standard. I can't see either being beyond sideboard cards, but hey, whatever works. I'm just happy the planeswalkening is almost over.
>Jacetice League hate cards
Almost the same as the hate cards in Theros: incredibly limited in playability, pretty much within sideboard territory in Standard-Modern.
>>53835077
I can see a spicy dimir hate deck in EDH using both the blue and black ones because they have outside utility. What are the most dickish colours in magic? Blue and black of course, which means we should hit them with the business. I can see someone shrieking like a banshee when their LotV, Bolas, or Tezzeret is popped for one mana.
More like JUST Beleren
>>53834958
>When you nutted but she keeps on sucking
>>53834958
Is Jace kill?
>>53835516
Yes. The League is now traveling to the Golden City in Ixalan to find the secret treasure to bring Jace and Eslpeth back to life. And they have to do it within one year as that is when Bolas will invade Ravnica. Chandra has gone to Dominaria to train with a fabled legendary wizard that fought in the Brothers War so that she can master both red and blue mana.

DMs of /tg/, what is the most embarrassing homebrew setting or system you've ever designed?
I once made an entire setting in my teens based on the world of Willy Wonka, which included a Vernucious Knid enemy, a fleshed out history and culture for Oompa Loompas, and had a Naughtiness score that was a merit based form of luck.
I created a homebrew universe when I was about 20 years old that was a rip off of Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones for GBA. Main difference was that instead of demons it was spiders and instead of dragons, they were bigger spiders. Lyon was bitten by a spider and was possessed by the Spider King. The main reason I did this was that I was unoriginal, and had a lot of giant spider minis. My players still have PTSD about Con saves.
>>53833442
.... Why?
>>53833442
OP that Willy Wonka setting sounds pretty cool.
Seeing as the second one of the actual books was a spacefaring adventure in the glass elevator, it's not too big a stretch to make a Wonka based campaign.
What made it so embarrassing? Did you force in a blueberry fetish or something?
The city is dead, and has been for some time.
A vast, mazelike corpse of concrete and steel.
Haunted by ghosts and what might have been.
Most residents died with it, but not all of them.
Those that survived live life as best they can.
Some explore the city, looking for a way out.
What do they find?
Automated Sanitary System- bots removing organic matter from streets, both decaying and living
