how can you make the githyanki a interesting enemy for a campaign?
the monster manual said that they have strongholds in the material plane for raising and training young because nothing ages in limbo, do what do these strongholds look like and what would it be like to infiltrate one.
also do you guys have any interesting stories about the gith from your games? i feel like people overlook them in 5e
>>53826355
There's a quest based on them in /qst/ that someone build a bunch of background for.Yeah, no creative content was removed in the making of /qst/ all right.

First for the Dark Prince, She Who Thirsts!
First for nu-marines a shit.
Reposting because ded thred
Some math stuff I found interesting
You can get 3.25 normal (non conscript) guardsmen for each tactical marine. Firing at identical targets the guardsmen will outdamage the marine against nearly everything by a moderate amount, which doesn't really represent their fragility.
If instead we pit the 1 tactical marine against 3.25 guardsmen, we see a very interesting outcome.
The tactical marine will inflict more wounds on the 3 guardsmen than they will on him, per point, especially if both the marine and guardsmen are in cover.
However, the guardsmen will overtake the marine if they get FRFSRF (and they will beat the marine by about the same amount that the marine originally beat them by)
Also intercessors versus tacticals is a lot less of a shitfest than I thought it would be.
1 tactical squad will beat 1 intercessor squad pretty squarely.
But you can get 3 intercessor squads for the price of 2 heavy bolter + plasma gun tactical squads.
The intercessors will have 30 wounds and do about 5 unsaved wounds against MEQ
The tacticals will have 20 wounds and do about 6.36 unsaved wounds against MEQ
10 wounds versus 1.36 damage? That's a legitimate choice to make.
Also -1 AP makes a bigger difference than I would have thought when its on a rapid fire gun.

... and RPG.net's going to shit over the use of the word 'triggered' in an appropriate context in the V5 playtest. Good job, rpg.net. Good job. Reading the broken english line there, it seems less 'joke about the word triggered' and more 'bad translation into English'.
Hey OP, you fucked up. Samurai Jack is an Exalt, not a WoD/CofD character

Noteworthy shit:

>There's a creature ability word called "Tough" that does something whenever a creature with it is damaged.

>There seem to be a lot of cards with emphasis on revealing the top card of your deck and doing something if it's a card of a certain type.
>Gold tokens from Theros are back, with a few minor tweaks and renamed treasure tokens.

I like the look the T-rex and the Triceratops.
Watching a Parasite Eve playthrough and it got me to thinking how the presence of monsters would affect daily living.
I suppose the first answer would be to hunt them down to extinction but what if, for whatever reason they keep showing up even if you clear out an area of them and firebombing/nuking is out of the question.
What does the world (or, at the very least) the United States look like under this scenario?
>>53824864
Pretty vague op
Where so the monsters come from?
How do they spawn?
Is this some stupid videogame logic, or is there reality buried in there somewhere?
>>53824975
Yes it is somewhat vague. I suppose the part I wanted to tackle was the fact that most answers will eventually boil down to DOTS or just nuke and firebomb everything out of existence.
I suppose RE would be better because in some way, shape or form there is always some group will to unleash a virus that mutates humans, animals and plants into monsters so there could be fall out in the form of areas that are literally no go zones because the local flora and fauna have been tainted so it has to be contained with the occasional mutant animal or plant either getting out or being smuggled out because reasons.
>>53824864
Are you asking what would happen if random encounters were real and could happen anytime? Like you just woke up in the middle of the night and a giant roach with buff arms jumped you in your own living room?
Hear ye, hear ye. I hereby call to order this meeting of the most illustrious Mages Guild! As I am certain most of you already know, the familiars have started their own fighting circuit. It used to be an underground fighting circuit, but as all of us can see, they are quite blatantly using our meeting table as an arena for their new sport. Local settlements have raised concerns about the expansion speed of this new sport, claiming that local parks and streets have been taken over by the familiars without warning. Quick research has revealed that no mage is actually to blame for this outbreak of competitive violence, in fact, the familiars have actually set this up on their own.
Regardless, it is hilariously entertaining, and I have made plenty of profit betting on matches already, so you won't see any complaints from me.
Spread the word! See if anyone else wants in on this.Welcome to the Mages' Guild. Pick a name and join in! Conflicts are resolved with d20s when needed, or with playing it out. When the thread dies on /tg/, we keep it going on archived.moe. For additional resources, please visit http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Mage%27s_guild or http://collabedit.com/6fvae
Wait, familiars are doing what?! Reinforce, did you know about this?
>Her familiar is a pangolin

I'm...not even sure I want to know how this got started. Maybe it was tired of you getting beat up in the necromancy department?

The dead do not "stat."
Just use the revenant rules from 5e UA. If you're playing 4e, use the revenant from that. It's actually good for the assassin class in that edition.

Fuckin' nailed it OP
You can toss rolling stats into that pot.
/tg/, listen to this hypothetical and tell me how ridiculous it sounds/how plausible it is.
>warhammer 40k
>be a guardsman
>fuck my life
>about to fight orks
>paint myself green with spare paint
>escape into the ork camp
>proclaim myself an ork
>shoot the first boy that disagrees while yelling in ork lingo about him being a stupid git
Surely that WAAAGH field the Orks have would eventually turn this person into an Ork, right? Or at least make other Orks see them as being an Ork.
If it did make other Orks think they were an Ork without actually changing them, what would happen if this person was a pretty good aim and managed to nab a few nice kills. Would they start getting bigger and stronger from the admiration of other Orks like a regular one, even if they were a humie?
Would this be easier to do for a Space Marine(Primaris or not) if they stripped off their armor and painted themselves green as well? Could a Space Marine turned Ork become a Warboss?
Just an idea for a character.

and one more
So.
How bad are the issues produced by two races living near each other, but having occasionally non-compatable diets?
Like, if you drink a third of the things on their menu, you will die horribly of writhing poison.
I'm basically trying to think of the actual consequences of the hundreds of food poisoning incidents that being friends with a thing like dwarves would cause.
Only problematic through first contact. After a few months people would figure shit out.
Alternatively, it'd be shit like the classic "dwarves eat rocks" scenario, where the diets are SO non-compatible it's played for laughs.
>>53819976
Mass Effect had something like this.... I think turians could not eat the same things as humans/Asari due to horriabe blood dirieea
>>53820308
Turians and Quarians would both die horrifically if they ate Human compatible food and vice versa. Which makes the Garrus / Tali romance paths all the more strange.

Seeing the leaks, I'm happy with the vehicles return, the weird color of some creature types and the "blank" tribal support. So they should just reprint Coat of Arms.
Any solo wargamers here?
Just got Ambush! in the mail. Hyped to set it up this weekend.

That seems somewhat lonely.
