You don't have to do any of that stuff unless you just really want to. Just bring food and a stove (if necessary), bring a shelter appropriate for the weather, and make sure you can stay warm enough during the night.

aaaaand this is why there is a Denver goodwill full of /out/ patches.

So fucking glad this guy took the bullet.
I was being such a fucking idiot trusting that this was a reasonable group of people with whom I could feel a certain comradery .
I am only out a few hundred bucks and I havbe learned another valuable lesson.
It's just as well, there seem to be plenty of people making patches now.
I only took on the project because it did not look like anyone else was going to.

You're not likely to pop an inflatable pad unless you really abuse it. Mine's survived out it's time in Death Valley.

I took the track that had hard written on a tree at the start, near yellow pitch I think. It's honestly my first proper climb and one of the best things I've ever done, although be prepared for a lot of rock climbing where if you fall you will die. I didn't bring ropes so my legs were like jelly but I made it and I'm alive. I'll post some more pictures.

We have the largest bird list of any country in the world, with 1850+ recorded species.

Years ago a friend and I bought a guide to the birds of Colombia and we got into the hobbie for a while.

OP I grew up in East Africa. My family had a copy of pic related. We wrote down the date and location whenever we identified a new species out on safari.

The book is pretty worn out now and has heirloom status in the family. Looking through it brings back great memories. Love birdwatching. Cheers for reminding me of this.

Not if I already had my homestead set with the details worked out. If I had achieved homeostasis before the majority of the population keeled over, I'd probably just stay there.

I don't think you're overly familiar with off-the-grid / homesteading lifestyle. Free time is merely time used to improve one's way of life, as opposed to time that must be spent to maintain one's way of life.

I have teh one pictured, got it for about £10 on ebay, didn't expect to win it at that price.

not used it for real, haven't needed to yet, most i've done is get it out in the house and sit in it with the gf. it seems like a good little emergency device, or a nice place to stop for lunch on exposed mountain top if the weather is horrible. seemed to warm up pretty quick in there too, though like i say i've only tried it in the house. it comes with me on walks where the weather might turn nasty.

absolutely not a replacement for a tarp or tent though. emergency shelter only.

Not sure if fixable but loosen the rope that's pulling on the thing like a g-string

it's important to do everything you can to avoid having to wash you down or synthetic sleebin bag. use a liner, don't put it directly on the ground ever, don't go into it with bare skin ever, no peeing the bed, no sweaty sex, no shitting/cumming in there either, no snuggling with pets (specially dogs), no packing/storing the sleeping bag unless it's 100% dry (this means hanging it up to air-out/dry for at least a day or two after EVERY camping trip). dont' keep it in long-term storage without occasionally airing it out and fluffing it up to reloft the stuffing.

i don't know how to clean a bag because i do errthing to avoid having to :\

Go to laundramat and use one of those fuck huge front loading machines on the gentlest cycle available. Purchase one of several available commercial products for the purpose of washing down items. I use nikwax. Suspend flat to dry, preferably outside on sunny day. Do not lay on the ground to dry unless you have no choice. Drape across two or more clotheslines is preferable. Do nothing with your bag until you are sure it is completely dry inside and out.

I've got a Husqvarna 235.
Pretty reliable machine, but the chain stopped Lubricating itself properly, guessing something is clogged up.
Gonna tear it down, clean it up and soak it in diesel
