Rust gore thread.

sometimes i wish for a real rusty car a absolute clunker but the laws here really suck and even tiny rust on supporting beams means not pass inspection

FUCK ARE YOU POOR??????? IN 2017???????
Find me a serious race car with carbon wheels
It's ok I'll wait.
>>17433593
because i drive a honda accord
seems kinda excessive
Don't wheels transfer a lot of heat by acting like a heat sink and move the heat that's generated from the friction of braking, and just driving in general away from whichever component that's generating it?
Wouldn't carbon fiber make that extremely inefficient and place excessive demand on said components by exposing them to hotter than normal conditions?

What about you /o/ ?
All horrible pigfat and mememobile choices.

At 18 my dad handed me the keys to our decade old Chrysler Town and Country with the promise that if I put so much as one scratch in its Northeastern salt-eaten rocker panels, I'd be picking my teeth out of its unpainted plastic bumper.
Sup /o/. I've been learning manual, and it has come to my attention that my grandfather has a '64 MG Midget mk II in his garage. He says it has bad oil rings. Is it worth the money to fix? Or would it be outragously expensive? Pic semi related
>>17433353
It would be a gret project car to keep in your family, one you fix up then eventually pass on to one of your children, otherwise it is a big project and not an easy one to finish especially if you want to keep it original which is the only way it will ever be worth money.
>>17433411
Well, I dont care about it being worth money, I care about it being a drivable car to be used.
>>17433448
No, not a good dd at all, its the type of car you take out once a month on the weekend.
they just break down too often and have too many gremlins lurking around the engine that can cause a break down at any time while driving.
Really most 60's cars are like this especially the british ones.
Why does Initial D have it's own board? This board should be deleted or merged.
Initial weeaboo should have its own board, to be frank.

If you have their license plate and picture, post their picture showing them texting at the following driver rating website: There are various online sites that will let you extract a section of video and convert the video into a webm.

my car had 10 years of an owner who must have tried to fuck the paint
swirls, thin clear, and some peel unfortunately on the sailplanes
but if you take your time it's really not hard, took a couple of days to buff it out properly, then full wax and the paint looked new (on the panels that arent actually stripped)

It has an obnoxious following.
Engine is overly hyped, a fucking LS is better than that.
Design body styling is lazy, ugly headlights too.

What are some easily/fast detachable parts that prevents a bike/car engine from working? Small parts, preferable.
Last week there were 2 bike thefts in my college campus, I was thinking about do something easy like having a detachable kick start pedal on my bike, and carry it my backpack, but it would still be able to do a bump start, if the thief is not a lazy ass.
Yeah, I know alarms do exist, but one can work around it, but in the other hand, which thief walks around with random parts in his pockets?
For a bike I don't think you can beat an alarmed rotor lock for portable security. Nobody will be riding away with it regardless, and even if they have enough people and daring to pick it up hopefully the alarm will cause someone to stop it. Pulling anything off to stop it running doesn't get you any further: a rotor lock does a step better since it can't be rolled away easily.

Thieves are opportunists. They don't tend to go to any trouble to steal stuff if it takes longer than a minute.
Leave keys in the ignition? Consider it stolen. Leave a laptop on your passenger seat? Consider your window smashed, start storing shit in the trunk (out of sight, out of mind). Buy some basic deterrent and make sure your shit is locked down when you leave it and you shouldn't worry about it again.
