Hello /o/, first time here, so excuse eventual fuckups [spoiler];_;[/spoiler]
So, as the title suggests, I'm searching for a good and cheap german car.
Criteria are:
-not too inefficient
-looking rad (gonna be my first own car, I think you can relate)
-german
-still available and not too expensive
-doesnt matter how old
I'm not really searching for just purchase advice and would much rather just have a thread full of german cars you guys like and adore, that I can have a look at. [spoiler] so, this is more of a german car thread desu [/spoiler]

If I were to buy a German car for myself it would probably be an e30.
That having been said, my wife drives a Passat and it's a pretty nice car but it requires twice as much maintenance as my Ram and fox body put together.

Supercars used to be special. Now every manufacturer is coming out with a slightly faster edition every year and a whole new car every 3. I pretty much stopped caring unless it's especially visually striking.

I can't speak for the Camaro, but the V6 Mustang is actually a reasonably fast car. As long as you get it with a manual, it should be plenty fun.

I haven't taken the family dog in my car, but when it's taken places in my mum's car, a towel or two are placed on the seat, and then this thing is attached to it's harness and then put in the seat belt latch
you use the harness so if you have to stop suddenly, you don't choke your dog like you would with a collar.
the dog is quite good. she just sits on the seat and occasionally looks out the window

I've been mulling this over for a week or two, and I think I want to get a retired cop car.
I know they're retitred before they hit 10k miles, they're regularly maintained, and they're made of tougher stuff than regular old crown vics.
On the other hand, I know cops treat these things like rental cars. Overheating is often a problem, interior might be beat to shit, etc.
The one I got my eyes on us about $7000.
Anyone here got any experience or advice on what to look out for or what to expect when I get it?

Bloomberg seems to think that between Tesla, Ford and Chevrolet bringing out all these new, cheap electric cars, and projections for cheaper batteries and wider adoption of "clean" power in the grid to feed the increased demand, oil prices will crash in 2028.
That seem at all right to you guys? Or are OPEC right in thinking that people won't shift to EVs en-masse, and yhat they'll always be a niche item in the auto market?
