This. Like if u cry evrtim
>I'm literally only person I know my age who likes performance cars
>know 3 stancefags
>nobody else cares about cars at all
TLDR: My son is a faggot who hates cars, so everyone's like that.
>be first time insured driver
>the best quote I found for full coverage was $210
Why is insurance allowed to cost more than a car? This is the biggest scam ever.
>>15064473
Because it usually also pays out 25-50k of medical coverage.
when I was 20 or 21, I had an 95 integra GSR, I was paying 390 a month for insurance.
I bought the car for 3k, and I owned the vehicle for 11 months. Basic math would tell you that I paid more for insurance for less than a year than I paid for the car.
car was a shit ton of fun though.
pic unrelated, I think?
>>15064473
My first car was $297 a month to insure.
>buy used car
>called insurance to get insurance
>sorry there is a hail storm scheduled for your area, we will not insure your car for another 24 hours until the hail storm passes
what the FUCK
>living in DFW
>>15064436
Cover it dude
Great, please start coverage tomorrow. Thank you.
Is your car at stage 1, 2 or 3?
>>15064348
-2?
I keep an overnight bag and some small cases of IT tools in the car.
>>15064348
I do a poo before driving. I'm all about the weight reduction.
>>15064365

What's everyone's opinion on focus group commercials?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmBOYtjBtOE
>>15064242
They're fucking stupid.
"Real people" don't know shit about cars.
>Wow, iphone connectivity I'm sold!
But since commercials are aimed at other normies, then I guess it probably works.
GROUNDED TO THE GROUND
Most people view a car as an appliance to move them from A to B and the closer the car gets to making people realize they haven't been interrupted from what they were doing (social media, texting a SO/friend, etc) the better job the manufacturer has done. That's why people love all the infotainment/hands free stuff and it's also why this retarded commercial is actually going to work.
Anyone ever tried fitting one of those eBay turbo whistles in their air intake?
It's maximum ricer, but I took the sound deadening foam out of my air box today and love the induction noises. Plus my car is already turbo so it's justifiable.
>>15064211
what if you install one in a turbo car?
is it still rice?
nigga..
>>15064211
>putting an obstruction in your intake
Recently I bought a car that I did not want to buy, but had no other option. How much would you sell a 1999 Toyota corolla with less than 75,000 miles on it? I have no idea when it comes to cars. The image is not my car but what my car looks like.
>>15064082
if the paint is in that condition and there's really nothing wrong with it, i'd list it on craigslist for 4k and give it to the first person to offer more than 3500. i live in socal, though, where lots of people are willing to pay that much for a little beater or kid's first car. ymmv
try 4k
what did you buy it for
I bought the car for 2,000. The only thing wrong is the disk and breaks but I have those in the trunk new. As far as the outside it has a few dents from the previous owner. I live in Jersey by the way.
Does anyone live at an apartment with multiple cars? No garage or covered parking available. Found a great deal on a second car I really want tho as a hobby / has nastolgic value
>DD 09 accord
>car I'm looking at: 94 explorer
>>15063978
Im not going to comment on wanting an expploder for a hobby car, but yeah I did this when my wife and I were first married and saving for a house. Parking was a pain in the ass because you only get assigned one spot. Can't work on the car either, so really limited what I could do to it (65 mustang I got instead of money a friend owed me)
I personally wouldn't do it again but if you don't mind the parking thing and have somewhere to work on it, sure why not
Park it on the street. Religious about moving it. Deeply religious.
>>15064443
>>15064816
What if parking isn't an issue. I'm in Texas, there's a lot of spots available right now
He may not be the prettiest thing to look at, but he is our new God, pay your respects.
who cares
f1 is stupid racing with fake cars.
ill rather a civic and a stoplight race any day of the week.
>>15063920
Dat fuckin eyebrows
Is this the ultimate poser/boy racer car ever? Ford Focus ST. Some guy up the street from me got one, and you can hear the blow off valve before you can hear the engine. At first I saw it thinking it was cool until I heard him drive by
>ShhhhhhhhhhhhTSUUUUU~U~U~
>rrrrTSSUUUU~U~U~U~~
>followed by the faintest sound of exhaust before it was immediately drowned out by the blow off valve again
Fuck the RS is nice, but what the fuck is with the ST?
>>15063873
Awesome car.
Although I bought a Fiesta ST instead, because I didn't need the extra space.
i didnt want to like it, but its proven itself in rally and even stock the test drive was quite enjoyable
>>15063890
It's probably an alright car but is the engine made of blow off?

Looking at an 03 Jetta wagon, manual. Has 194k on it, gas engine. How are these things, never owned a VW, but I need a DD for work. Is $1,000 a good price, what do I need to look out for. Google inage photo, but same color and decent condition

>>15063816
Are they really that bad? I have another vehicle, I just need something to drive around for work. I rather not put loads of miles onto my new car.

Daily reminder that GM literally has NEVER created a production naturally aspirated V8 more powerful than the 5.2L Voodoo engine in the GT350.
